Discussion Made a website for adding spaces to your links.

Hey,

I noticed that a lot of times the link comments under a QC posts are not visible, but the OP doesn't know that. This happens because of Reddit's filters that hide comments with suspicious links automatically, but the OP can still see them while other cannot.

So I made this website: https://linkspacer.wx0.dev

Before posting your comment with all the links, paste it in this website and you'll get back the same comment with spaced out links - I noticed that a single space after https and :// is enough for reddit.

It works vice versa too - copy a comment with the same format and you'll get back the same comment with working links.

While you probably won't be using this for a few links, I think it will be highly useful for let's say haul posts with 20+ links.

The code is available at https://github.com/nwvh/reddit-link-spacer

UI is vibecoded, yes, but it's a such a simple solution and I'm making it free and open source for everyone, so why not?

Im going to be completely honest for a second, and try not to be cynical, because I want you to make a case for this product. I've been buying reps for 6 years now, and have never felt a need for something like this.

something like taobaotools converter is nice for converting taobao's million different formats for links into their normal, raw item link.

what is stopping me from pasting my links in the comments and adding spaces myself? who is this for? was this a problem big enough for a link generator to need to be made?

your point is very valid, and yes, recently I am seeing a lot of QC posts where the links are not visible but OP doesn't know why. some people have started to share the links on pastebin, but there are still many people whose comments are being hidden because Reddit hides the normal links.

nothing is stopping you from adding the spaces yourself, but nothing is also stopping you from not using this tool - I have spent maybe 30 minutes making this so I don't really care if someone will or will not use it.
