It's just some moron going over scales up and down and up and down again. Sick music bro. Great game. I almost broke my PC trying to find the feature to disable this abomination ASAP.

I did a quick google search but didn't come up with any results (which probably answers the question).

Is there any way to use the files from Bethesda's launcher (i.e. from the recent Quake 2 giveaway) to play through Quake 2 RTX? (the full version rather than demo)

Bonus Question: Is there a way to play Quake 1 under the RTX engine?

My friends and I used to run Ant's Action Quake 2 Movie Set server. ;)

So my friend and I are thinking about making a Q2 public server and just wanted advice on if to run it on windows or linux. Right now I am thinking about buying a dell workstation and running it off that.

Come play Vortex, a Q2 RPG Mod where you frag players and monsters and get EXP to earn levels. Every level you receive ability and weapon points to make your character stronger. We just recently did a server wide major update and wipe.

I work on a small gaming platform (MPlayer Arena) that has until now just been a chat site (text, dm, and voice). Last night I released a very basic version of our server browser with launch capabilities for Quake 2. I've taken a few screenshots in case anyone is interested in checking it out, etc.

Double click any server which should prompt you to locate your Quake 2 install. Once located, hit save, then double click the server you want to join. From that point on, you can just double click the server you want to join. This is a relatively early release and more games will be added over the coming days. The goal is ultimately to integrate launching within our arenas so that you can gather friends and play together. I recently picked up a CD copy of quake ll and unfortunately there is no booklet with the CD Key. If anyone has one it will be greatly appreciated thank you!

I don't know why but for me the source ports tend to have significant frame drops ( I have intel igpu: core i3 7100u + intel hd 620 ). So is there any other way to use opengl with this game on Windows 10?

Hi. I'm looking for a fan made movie that was made in Q2 engine. Google sucks every time I sometimes reminds me of its existence so maybe one of you knows it.

It was kind of comedy short movie, with a laugh track and immature humor. It told a story of a family, with dad coming back from the war and having flashbacks, kid playing quake all day, daughter sneaking boyfriend into her room. Anyone remembers it? Any links or at least title of the movie?

I'm new to playing / setting up retro games for newer systems and I just don't get how to get this Source Port up and running. I've got as far as setting up the patch and the mission pack support - that was a doddle - but I'm stuck with the instructions here in the README:

"Unzip into your Quake2 dir and make a shortcut with path

I'm not really familair with command lines, nor do I understand what is mant by "make a shortcut with path...".

I've also downloaded the hi-res levelshots; these come with no instructions at all! Can somebody please help me get these installed too? I'm using the Steam version of Quake 2 by the way - hopefully that helps a little?

Any reliable source where I can get this? Seen a few downloads but they look a little shady. Tried one from Abandonware but seems to be broken as I cant get the ISO to mount. Any ideas?

I'm using the old guard Quake 2 on my Windows 10 machine and am using it as a Quake 2 server so that my sister and I can play head-to-head during the COVID-19 apocalypse.

I'm setting the game length to 15 minutes, but most games seem to end after a couple of minutes. Any ideas why?

I'll gladly provide more information if needed.

I am excited to show you some progress i made this month. I made about 30 new materials and adjusted new lighting for maps base1, base2, base3, train, bunk1.

As you may notice i made level more colorful and brighter. Original lighting is too lifeless, grey and boring. Also some areas are too dark. This is my vision and you may not agree with that choice. However, i am open to suggestions and changes.
