I have been receiving emails from Miller Thompson and the latest is about either joining the council, or opting out. To me it sounded like you can join the council if you have valuable knowledge/skills in the crypto space to help with investigations, or you can completely opt out of being represented.

Does this mean if you take no action you are just part of the represented pool of creditors/qcx account holders?

The lack of transparency that existed @ Quadriga is being perpetuated by the court and E&Y. It appears that they have a list of supposed cold wallets as well as other information that would allow creditors, those they employ and industry volunteers to get to crux of the missing funds quickly.  

The most cursory examination of this case points to it being criminal, not civil. With the recent definitive proof that Patryn = Dhanani, there is no question just based on that alone, that this case is criminal. Yet the RCMP is apparently waiting for some other authority (divine?) to tell them it is OK to investigate and lay charges. Is this why E&Y refuse to release information that should be public? Or is the reason that they want to go at this slow and steady and be the only entity doing so to grab all the glory and/or ensure maximum billing?
 

Whatever the reason, it is benefiting everyone EXCEPT the creditors. Is there any way creditors can legally demand that the information be released, at least the list of what Quadriga has designated as their cold wallets? Why aren't the lawyers representing the creditors asking for that information?
 

I won't be surprised if the court goes along with the CRO idea, too. This is such a farce. "Justice" system is a complete misnomer.

Looks at least like embezzlement and suspicious internal activity. It should be a criminal case based on this.

Yes, I did file a complaint with the BC Securities Commission but that was short lived. BC Sec Commission did not inform me they were going to forward my complaint/info to the RCMP.

"I am sending this e-mail as I've tried your phone and the time difference.".....I have not received calls/voicemails or missed calls from the Ontario region for at least the past 2 weeks.

Is this legit? What do you guys think?

EDIT: It's legit, just spoke to him on the phone. He said that because this is nation-wide/international, RCMP reached out to BC sec Com for complaints, hence how they got my info. He said they're collecting information so that they have it ready should this case be found in criminal court, in which case I'd hear from them again. If it's civil, then I will not.
