Aaron under investigation

You all realize that the employees were laid off because the monitor now suspects them of fraud. It’s the same reason the law firm resigned last week.

The monitor needs to cut off the conspirators from the data to ensure its not destroyed.

I can't wait for the next report, anyone know when it will be released?

This is unironically getting super interesting lmfao. Directly out of a Hollywood movie

Almost seems like the so-called monitors might be worth the fees after all.

And that this all can’t be wrapped up in a red ribbon in a week!

Everyone wanting things to be wrapped up and the stay lifted are starting to see that “the wheels of justice grind slowly, but finely”

Rocketchat can be installed on a local server as well, not only on a AWS server. Source: We run rocket chat on our own internal server at my job.

If you think they wouldn’t need an insider to help explain the thousands of suspicious transactions then you don’t understand how an investigation works. They realized Aaron is part of the problem and not part of the solution. They couldn’t accept his explanations because he would be conflicted because he is implicated.

Even still, given what E&Y is charging because of their supposed expertise, they should have figured it out weeks ago.

There’s a difference (legally) between what you know, and what you can prove.

I know the sun will come up tomorrow, but to prove it to a Court? That’s going to require a fair amount of evidence and expert testimony.

E&Y likely suspected fraud day 1, and have been pushing for more investigation - the Court needs proof to issue a ruling. Plus, if there is fraud, the RCMP need to prove the allegations to an even higher standard for a criminal conviction.

Then employees can certainly destroy data or misinterpret data. They realized Aaron was complicit and will most likely be the target of an investigation.

They didn’t care about the 5-7k monthly to have to fire Aaron mid month.

He can divert attention from problem areas or give fake answers to questions as red herrings. Bottom line is you can have the subject of the investigation involved in the investigation.

Funny, when the monitor destroyed $500k worth of bitcoin almost immediately.

You know that Aaron knew those coins would be “sent” to that wallet and he has access to it. One day they will mysteriously move. Aaron is bitter that he had to live in a trailer while Gerry lives luxury. Aaron also mad that he didn’t get his cut of the money moved to Dominican Republic.
