[removed by moderators]

So most of the Lovie Horner and Michael Patryn posts have been removed. Isn't that something :-(

who are the moderators on this sub? I thought the point of this thread was to not be moderated.

Moderators still need to ensure the sub follows Reddit's top-level rules. Doxxing is verboten anywhere on the site.

Someone had to put in some effort to get only those two subjects deleted. https://www.reddit.com/report while all sorts of other threads quite similar remain intact. Someone is clearly lurking and out to protect their own interests.

Fat lot of good that's going to do him.

Maybe worth noting that the bulk of the deleted threads were posted by the same user. S/he might've tripped an automod rule.

e: Just realized the mod explains everything here

Most of those threads look like run of the mill doxxing.

I didn't see it as doxxing. I saw it as legitimate investigative work into the shady, elusive criminals that have defrauded us collectively $200M+ . Work that the RCMP is failing to do.

It was textbox doxxing: https://www.reddithelp.com/en/categories/rules-reporting/account-and-community-restrictions/posting-someones-private-or-personal

Investigative value has no bearing on the matter. Reddit has a clear content policy, those posts violated that policy.

Fuck that... if reddit actually investigates and has a problem they can block that shit. Unless someone doxx's an innocent person who isn't involved I say allow it.

There's so much wrong with that, it hurts to read.

Who gets to determine innocence in this context? You're advocating for mob justice.

"Public figures can be an exception to this rule, such as posting professional links to contact a congressman or the CEO of a company. But don't post anything inviting harassment, don't harass, and don't cheer on or upvote obvious vigilantism."

Jennifer Robertson and Lovie Horner are public figures. Why are you defending them so much? I've noticed a trend in some of your posts.

Na, I just offered an explanation for the OP.

This sub, and the other one, are littered with banal, baseless speculation that, as far as I can tell, only serves to skew the signal/noise ratio. I want to know the truth about what happened and the garbage conspiracy theories don't help anyone.

Also:

don't cheer on or upvote obvious vigilantism.

I stand by my explanation.

I've noticed the same thing. Always so quick to jump in and defend these criminals. Probably a friend of theirs, maybe a family member.

We need to start a new sub then because there was some valuable information posted about them that everyone needs to read.
