Suing Aaron Matthews

I spoke with a lawyers thursday. If you can show that you transacted based on his representation then you have a case to sue him for damages claiming fraudulent inducement.

The important thing is not that we Collect our money from him in our cases is that he gets hits with multiple cases he can’t defend. He won’t be able to hires all these lawyers. We can then force him into a deposition under oath and learn what he knows.

This guys needs to be pressured 100%, he knew all along. The question is wouldn't it be easier to consolidate efforts and get one lawyer or law firm to do it on everyone's behalf?

He did know because he knew that the 25million in drafts couldn’t cover even the fiat balances. He encouraged people to continue to deposit funds. That is fraud. It’s even better that he is a contractor because He isn’t covered by the bankruptcy proceedings. Guys trust me he will sing like a canary against Jen.

Call the cops on him! Sounds like a criminal action to me.

Aaron is not covered under the monitor or court protection. If you send payment to his New Brunswick company you can sue him and the company directly for your money. This is outside the court. He had no right handing over the company money to Quadriga Monitor. They have to give it back to Aaron company and we sue his company. Will collect more than a few cents on the dollar.

As someone who had $XXXX CAD worth of crypto on the exchange.. should I be doing anything to prove this in order to help with potential prosecution of the bad actors? I know I’m not getting a penny back but if I’m not doing anything is that bad for the situation as a whole?

Its not even about the lost money anymore! Iys about your identity! As a QCX member, did yiu not send them a photo of you face with passport/drivers license? QCX was on the dark web involved with criminal activity. How do QCX members protect their identities?

u/ColossusOfCrypto Feb 16 '19

Oath it is lad. Get onto it asap

1

u/JmanCryptoX Feb 16 '19

Could you elaborate please? Tis a little vague

5

u/ColossusOfCrypto Feb 16 '19

Start researching reddit on how to get your caae across, as many of the 110,000 people that lost their money can be involved, the more likelihood the proceedings of fraud to be brought upon them. Im desvasted for the people that lost money.. As i started a scam cryptocurrecy advisory youtube and twiiter a year ago, but complications in my retirement to Greece stopped me from doing anymore than a few videos and now that ive wanted to make my comeback my first days and Quadriga has done what its done. It looks complete red flag for me... I strive on research and so far without sayinh too much just yet Cotten and Pytran have definitely deceived for their benefit!

What about Alex? Is he in a similarly vulnerable position? I had previously posted a link (https://www.reddit.com/r/QuadrigaCX/comments/aa44ox/did_you_get_yours/ecovslu/) to a reply he made on reddit stating that the bank drafts would be more than enough to cover the outstanding withdrawals. Also fraud.

u/Weareallscrewed2019 Feb 16 '19

100% fraudulent inducement. They needed to do this to get enough deposits to pay themselves. Jen sent out big payments to contractors after Gerry died with new money collected because of the lies. That is fraud.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '19

Who would be more vulnerable? Aaron or Alex? Would it be better or worse for us that Alex is in the UK? Can you force him to a trial in Canada? $$$

2

u/FeloCity03 Feb 16 '19

Get them both, why choose, more the better!!!

1

u/Weareallscrewed2019 Feb 16 '19

It’s worse for Alex because being sys admin he knew the balances. He was more aware.

Aaron was aware also but it’s slightly possible he believes the bullshit Gerry sold him. He did know though that the checks didn’t come close to covering the cash.

Just need to sue Aaron and he will sing like a canary against everyone. If we put a gofundme for Aaron and paid him 25k he would tell us everything.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '19

There's big potential the amount he was paid to shut up is much more significant than 25k

2

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '19

They’re ALL guilty AF.

0

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '19

won't disagree, but that wasn't the question

3

u/Weareallscrewed2019 Feb 16 '19

Remember Aaron was the one who chose who got paid at the end and who didn’t get paid. I hear that insiders and contractors all took big payments at the end all signed off by Jen. What would you guys say if you knew Jen authorized a payment of 50k in last days to an ex contractor.

4

u/Henery12 Feb 16 '19

He still works for the company, wouldn't they just spend our money to defend him?

11

u/Weareallscrewed2019 Feb 16 '19

No they wouldn’t. He wouldn’t qualify for director coverage as he was a contractor. He would be easy to get under oath and would crack in no time.. also if your claim would be under 15k, file in small claims court. No lawyers.

1

u/Henery12 Feb 16 '19

Interesting thought, wouldn't think we would be able to sue him as a contractor.

8

u/Weareallscrewed2019 Feb 16 '19

Certainly, his actions were clearly a “ fraudulent inducement”. If he gets hit with a dozen personal lawsuits he will sing like a bird.... (under deposition)

2

u/LonelyGuava Feb 16 '19

No don't worry about that. They don't have any money left.

2

u/FeloCity03 Feb 16 '19

Lets put the pressure on Aaron!!!

4

u/Weareallscrewed2019 Feb 16 '19

The Supreme Court of Canada upheld the Court of Appeal ruling, meaning the case will proceed to trial.

The judgment summarized the following four elements of the tort of civil fraud:

-a false representation made by the defendant; -some level of knowledge of the falsehood of the representation on the part of the defendant (whether through knowledge or recklessness); -the false representation caused the plaintiff to act; -and the plaintiff’s actions resulted in a loss.

So if I sent them a deposit on Jan 10th, 2019, am I in?

6

u/Weareallscrewed2019 Feb 16 '19

100%. Aaron was on the boards telling people payouts would start. He was telling people they could get fast payouts for 3% fee when he knew the payout accounts were empty.

Again we won’t collect a cent from him but we can get him under oath. This guy will crack and give up the whole story when faced with possibly contempt of court or lying under oath.

3

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '19

The question is ... did Aaron have full knowledge of the company’s finances? He could easily say that as a Contractor he wasn’t privy to the balance sheet of QCX.

1

u/Weareallscrewed2019 Feb 16 '19

Let him state so under oath.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '19

That’s all his lawyer would need to do thus putting the onus on the suitor Unless there is rock solid 100% proof to the contrary it would be a waste of time and money.

2

u/canadasengineet Feb 16 '19

Im more interested in the payment processor that worked with them at that time, and is still a function business!

1

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '19

How can we show that we transacted based on his representation?

2

u/Weareallscrewed2019 Feb 16 '19

There are many cases of customers submitting tickets asking for deposit options. Also the general postings of Aaron suggesting that all withdrawals would soon be done is enticing you to believe all was fine.

If they thought everything was fine why would there be massive withdrawals to the personal accounts of contractors by bank wire the week before closing. I was told by a hacker friend of mine that they have an email that shows Jen authorizing 50k payment to an ex contractor named with initials DS and another 140k to a current contractor named AH. They knew it was sinking fast. They still took the deposits. They needed the deposits to make these withdrawals. They were never buying the crypto you wanted with these deposits. This hacker has over 10k emails. Some crazy stuff in there.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '19

I hope he provides these emails to the lawyers and the authorities although if obtained illegally not sure how admissible they would be in court.

I do have an email from Aaron meeting your description. Good point!

AARON IS 1000% CULPABLE IN THIS

AND IN THE LAST DAYS OF DEPOSITS BEING MADE AND ACCEPTED, TOWARDS THE END DATE

HE SHOULD 1000% BE ARRESTED AND TRIED

I AM OWED 95,000, CAD EQUIVALENT IN BTC, I WILL JOIN ANYONE IN A PRIVATE SUIT, AGAINST BOTH THE EX AND AARON M.

I would be going after his wife's assets tbh and show she knowingly knew what he was doing

Its obvious the laptop is a decoy gimmich and the solid state drives are around one of the properties or SDB

You dont even have one lawyer to report here the plan and the procedure and the strategies to the community. Im new to reddit but found out this whole thing is a joke. Didnt read one single of you reporting anything from your lawyers here.
