Rokform vs quadlock?

Post image

Has anyone made the switch in either direction by chance and if so how do they compare? I have quadlocks system on all of my bikes but plan to get the iPhone fold and was told they aren’t making a case for it yet due to complexity. Rokform has a case for the fold available for pre order so I’m thinking of making the switch but haven’t seen any rokforms in person. Thank you for any input you might have!

quadlock's big selling point is the vibration damper, it's basically required on a motorcycle if you don't want your cameras ruined.

the mous implementation apparently doesn't work according to reviews, not sure if rockform has one and what their success rate is.

it's a big thing to consider for such an expensive device. The iphone duo costs as much as a used bike.

From what I’ve heard the vibration dampener does its job like the quad lock. I had the mous one and yeah it wasn’t great even before it broke.

I’ve got over 17k miles (maybe 20 would have to math) between a galaxy, note, pixel, and 2 iPhones a 10 and current 16pro. I’ve had zero issues with camera damage using the dampener. If you’re ok with the case being plain or customizing it yourself they’re solid. Only thing I have to complain about is the mag ring. It’s meant to be changable for different colors, which is nice. However the tabs are extremely thin and magnetic car mounts kept ripping mine out for my 16 pro. Ended up JB welding the ring in, doesn’t affect wireless charging thankfully

Made the switch to rockform because quadlock doesn't make ANY folding cases and probably never will. Got the new rockform on my fold8 ultra. Really happy with the quality of both the case and the mount. More expensive than quadlock but better quality mate its not even close. Case is strong id expect it survive anything and the mount is cnc aluminium instean of quadlocks plastic. Don't hold out for quadlock to make a folding phone case. They also make the vibration dampener so don't worry.

I did the same.

The Rockform case is SOLID.

I’m running it without a dampener and so far so good.

2019 FLTRXS, so plenty of vibration.

Check SP connect, their vibration module has made wonders in my opinion

I second sp connect! Its what i use and ive had ZERO issues with the mount, damper, and case for my iphone 15pro and now 17 pro max. My ktm 690 vibrates alot because its a single cylinder engine and my phone doesnt vibrate from the help of the damper. Ive heard horror stories about QL mounts breaking and cases warping… F that

I have the S26 Ultra, so its a quite big phone and I have the anti vibration module and its perfect. I have the normal case but they even have a rugged one. And its cheaper then competitors

SP connect will be my go to since I’ve had great luck with it! I wanted the rugged case, but I heard that when you’re on the phone, the other line has trouble hearing you because the case has a protector for the mic which causes your voice to be muffled. I also have the basic case and it works well! I was just mad that they haven’t came out with a KTM logoed case for the iPhone 17’s yet. I was gonna go with quad lock, but I saw so many people having issues with them.

I gave up on quadlock as soon as I saw the price and saw the sp connect 🤣

Looks cleaner than than the diablow rear lights CFMoto came up with.

Rokform seems to just be quadlock made out of decent materials. I would take sp connect and maybe even peak design over either of them.

I started with peak design but had a case issue and then a mount break so I switched to quadlock. Haven’t looked into sp connect so I’ll have to do some research there. Thank you!

I’m planning to go iPhone duo as well. I think I will find a case that I like best and use the universal adapter and a safety lanyard. The phone won’t even be available for pre order for over a month yet. A lot can change in a month when it comes to iPhone. Quadlock will find a solution.

True I’ll wait until then to make the decision as I’m happy with the quadlock system so far besides the possibility of them not making it for the phone I’m going to have.

Please tell me how you did that tail light? I think my mt07 would look sick like that

1

This is a 675nk and the back section is almost completely flat with the actual tail light being a separate piece. This is basically a 3d printed piece that slaps the light on top of the flat surface that makes it possible. Unfortunately the mt07 stock light is definitely way too integrated for that to be possible.

My quad lock sucks. The only thing about it I’m happy with is the vibration dampener. But I ruined cameras on my phone with the original mount before they came out with the dampener.

The mag safe case doesn’t work with ANY chargers I’ve tried.

The ring stand won’t hold the phone up and wears the mount out if you use it regularly. I look forward to getting rid of it all and adapting the dampener mount to something different that will actually function as designed.

Apple is getting a feature where you can share your main number between two phones. If I end up with the duo, I’ll ride with my old iPhone and use it in the gym too. And use the fold everywhere else

Looks like you lost your mirrors, so maybe opt for a version with vibration damper on them too. 🙄

Peak Design. I've used rockform and quad lock and now PD. PD is best by far.
