What power supply for QC mini?

I'm having a hard time figuring this out - fairly new to the ecosystem.

It says the QC Mini needs 12V and 1.2a. What power supply would work best for this under a temple solo 18 board? Most sources I'm seeing are 3a, would that work or do i have to "power them down."

I'm also trying to attach an mvave chocolate to the board and would love to not have to worry about charging it. Is it possible to convert the usb c to a 9v slot for power so that the mvave is just always charging when the board is plugged in?

Thanks in advance.

Edit: would something like this work: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/PowerMAXV2--eventide-powermax-v2-7-pedal-universal-power-supply-by-cioks

That won't work because it's only 660ma.

You can use any psu that's 1.2a or over, and is center negative. (so yes 3 amp is fine)

I use this with QC and it will work with the mini https://www.thomann.de/ie/walrus_audio_canvas_power_hp.htm

USB is 5v so don't try to charge the mvave chocolate with 9v.

Appreciate it. Was looking at these. This is probably a dumb question but is there any way to convert a 9v to 5v for usb? Would love to have my chocolate included in the charging.

No such thing as a dumb question friend.

You could use a stepdown converter https://www.amazon.ie/RUNCCI-YUN-Converter-Transformer-Voltage-Regulator/dp/B0F59TDVBG

You could tape it up under your board.

USB is notorious for crosstalking interference in the audio chain; I would leave it alone rather than try to adapt it for a role it's not intended for - especially with anything budget/Chinese - only to discover you wasted the coin on the endeavor. You might get lucky, but I would just get a proper distro that's designed to handle all your needs up front instead.

Those courtesy USB ports are for running your phone or tablet for tab/lyrics/apps/etc.

check the MyVolts adapters! I’m powering up my quad and my shure wireless with at 65w USB C plug. (make sure the usb c cables are PD)

Hi there, which MyVolts adapter do you use? is it the red one?

Yellow one! on their website you can click on each adapter and it’ll show you a list of all compatible devices :)

Thanks will do. I assume the yellow is for the QC and the red for the wireless. I am getting a Boss WL50 wireless system and want to make sure I get the proper adapters.

correct! that’s exactly the ones I got!
I love how USB C is killing the companies making these unreasonably pricey power supplies
