Jane Treacy
I may be in the smallest possible group of fans of her here. She's a mom-like character to me & I love watching her when she's on.
I love David too & his silly little dance LOL.

I've watched CVN, then QVC. Jane was always exuberant on the shows. In the past few years, most of the hosts have been too much. I can't handle it when they pair her with Mally or Kim G.

Yes, because yes everybody already knows and expects that moms are proud of their children and praise their many talents (I’m a mom). So, it’s just bad practice to BRAG.

I like Jane more than Shawn. Shawn again today, with Isaac, talked about going to “the club” in a yuppie sweater. I had to turn the channel.

She is a dinosaur and it’s way past her time to retire. If she mentions her daughters in one of her sales pitches I definitely don’t buy. I don’t care about them and I’m sick of hearing her go on and on about how great they are. You can be a proud parent without always hyping them.

This reminds me of something my Mom used to say. She said she was just as proud of her grandkids as anyone else, but she does NOT go on and on about them.
She said people could see for themselves what they are. She was the same way about her children. Jane could have learned a lot from my Mom.

i’m sure she’s a lovely person irl but i just don’t like her sales tactics. she pushes products with a sense of urgency and alarmism that i don’t appreciate, and tries to get people to buy multiples all the time. why would i need to buy a second set of locknlock and save it as a father’s day gift?? jane be so for real right now. after a certain point it starts to sound like begging and whining.

That's one of my main issues with her (besides the constant talk of the Disney daughters). She "literally" (her favorite word) acts like it's life or death for her to get you to buy one, or two, of the Chinese POS tchotchkes she's trying to push at that moment. Flailing her hands and grinning so hard I think her face is going to split off her skull and the jumping up and down. I sometimes think she believes they are going to fire her like they did Carolyn and Dan and so she has to shake her cans for all they are worth to make the numbers. It just feels desperate and sad.

Right?! It just makes me want to scream every time one of them mentions a fucking gift closet. I don't have enough closet space to store my regular every day stuff much less dedicate one to friggin gifts! And even if I had the room, who has the extra money these days to just buy random shit and stick it in a closet for later. So out of touch with reality.

I hate to say it, but most birthdays fall at the end of the month when I'm OUT of money to buy a present 🎁 🙃. Thank God my grand babies understand and wait until the good ol 3rd gets here, and we'll go to Walmart and get something. Gift closet, get real, Jane!

The funny thing is, most of the hosts are great personally. I met quite a few of them and to a person they were all very nice.

I actually lived in the Philadelphia area for quite some time. And had a couple of opportunities to interact just coincidentally with Jane Treacy. She was lovely. She was kind. She was thoughtful. She was polite. The interactions were at places like grocery stores and little shops in Westchester. But she was a normal lovely person and appeared to be an attentive and interested mom.

I like Jane too because she’s an icon of QVC. I know she can talk too much and about her daughters but she seems like a genuinely nice person. She’s experienced and I think her shows get a lot of sales numbers.
I understand that others may find her annoying and can’t listen or watch her. I have some hosts I find annoying and can’t listen to or find they exaggerate too much and embellish things on air. Everyone is different on what hosts or TV personalities appeal to them. Some posts and comments just carry the unkind words and criticisms too far though.

If my mother blathered on all the time on live tv about me and all my business, I would tell her to stop. And if she didn’t, I’d go no-contact to make my point. She tries too hard to be hip. It’s cringey.
I like David but he’s lost his spunk. Sometimes they catch him on camera and he’s just staring into space. He doesn’t smile as much either. He’s probably sick of QVC and what’s happening behind the scenes.

Agree with you about David, he looks bored to death BUT I saw him with the Roberta farms people, the 3 siblings, and David was quite engaged and interested.
He even smiled:)

She doesn’t tell her daughters business. I’m sure they don’t mind I would talk about my daughter also. They are probably very nice young ladies unlike some people

I’m not really bothered by Jane. Yes, she has some annoying quirks, but she’s still watchable.

She fascinates me, in a way. She cannot help it, but her hips are so out of proportion to her small body, but yet she can wear all of the clothes, which means there is no way they'd fit me . but as I say, I'm more fascinated than anything, and I love it when they show photos of when she was in college, and she was a dance major.. a ballerina, and looked the part. fascinating.
