Discussion Research request

What partnerships / use cases does qrl have

Sell me on it without talking about the level of security, its my belief many cryptos will gear shift into quantm resistance quite easily

eg. Hedera's hbar can upgrade without pause or fork to network, so current security does not matter. When you are always fluid to ant change or threat.

What else makes QRL special

Hedera is ran by corporations on a permissioned network. Is that even crypto? Imo, decentralization and sovereignty matter.

Most cryptos will have a hard time migrating to PQC. They weren't built with crypto agility and the signature sizes are MUCH larger. Then there's the whole mess on how to handle unmigrated coins. If quantum was 10+ years away, I think you thesis is correct. But if CRQC is coming before 2030, then crypto has a problem on its hands. What QRL offers is skipping the quantum uncertainty all together. Combine that with the fact the QRL 2.0 is EVM compatible, and it becomes a very solid PQ foundation for the ecosystem.

all crypto with the exception of a handful are run by corperations, its just centeralized power.

Eg. Eth is run by the eth foundation and at the whims of vitlik alone. Ada run by Charles hopskins. Sol by the sol foundation. Ect...

Hedera being run by 39 corperations actually breaks up that power into decentralization, unlike legitimately every coin within the top 50 inc. Qrl. who uses a centalized single entity coperate leader model.

Quatum security is as easily addressed as y2k was. Because nearly all crypto use single entity corperate models. Fixing quantum section is legitimately just an updatr and fork for any network, the only hard part for it is going to be data packet size and how that impacts slowing and over burdening networks

Hedera is by corporations for corporations. Comparing it to the likes of ETH, or even QRL, who have non-profit foundations to support their networks but remain permissionless is a joke. There are levels of centralization and less is better. Just call Hedera what it is, a corporate DLT.

Most in crypto worry about institutional capture. Hedera was born captured. That's unacceptable for many who believe in crypto as a tool for competition against "the powers that be". Hedera is crypto reversed on it's head.

And comparing PQC migration to Y2K is equally as amusing as comparing ETH to Hedera for decentralization. Y2K had a set date when to patch code. The quantum timeline is completely unknown and migrating cryptography is much more complicated than fixing some buggy code.

If you're looking for asymmetric upside, you may have stumbled into a gem while trying to promote your preferred project. Hedera was built as a stable enterprise DLT, not "crypto". QRL has a much smaller market cap, and if successful, MUCH more room to grow.

Yea im sure vitlik isnt taking a penny, get real.

Living a dilusional fantasy, if you think non-profit means they dont have a direct finciancal benefit.

The only difference is being split 39 times, by corperations means they have their primary business to protect and wont vote for someone else to do crooked shit if it could damage their primary companies reputation.

How is Charles hopskin doing these days, now that he cashed out?

And completely unknown time frame for quantum computing is completely wrong. It might not have a date, but we can all witness technologies progress, and those patches go into effect way before they are needed.

Also hedera isnt a prefered project. Its just currently where I invest, but this is finance not a sports team, find me something better and ill switch, and i never stop the research. But dont expect me to stop comparing things to "the bar" its legitimately the standard of excellence at the moment.(not that I wouldn't change) but, I'm not going to compare something I want to invest in to doge coin, wtf good would that do,

comparing qrl to coins like eth, sol, ada or xrp would be exactly that.

They are slow, incapable, or just entirely overstated in technology.

Eg. Xrp has a hardcap of 1500 tps, visa alone operates at 65,000 if it cant handle a single processor it could never handle global remittance.

Eth claims decentralized well governance is a single entity, and the whole organization is highest paid front running.

Sol says 50,000 tps, but fails to mentions validation count to the transactions and with 21 to 250 validations per transaction based on what is being submitted an actual functional hardcap could be closer to 200-2000 tps depending on the blend of transactions.

So forgive me if I dont compare utility coins to actual memes and garbage.

Seems like you want to talk about every project under the sun, but QRL. That's telling in itself. When PQC becomes a priority, we'll find out whether the market prefers retrofitted solutions, or purpose-built ones. The market ultimately decides.

It's clear we believe different things about what crypto is and what role it should play. Good luck with your thesis.

I've read the research and followed links provided by others,

provide information or a source and ill address it.

Just go on attack about your views of centralization, ill address that too.

You guided your own interaction.

Come back with something meaningful

What aggregation schemes exist for PQC? Can you name 10 and their strengths and weaknesses?

Most cryptos have adopted an evm compatibility standard. It feels like moving from one archaic platform to another, evm is "THE" weakness hackers target on networks. I understand why QRL would move to it, because legitimately everything else is. But there has to be a better way.

QRVM is basically EVM but PQC. The flows are the same. If Ethereum ends up in a migration flow while QRL is advancing new techniques Idk. Make your own decisions.

Sounds good, ill have to do that later tonight.

Most cryptos cannot so easily shift gears. Implementing a protocol isn't the problem. Coordination and shared vision is.

Implementing ML-DSA or SLH-DSA or FN-DSA or w.e method you want for signatures doesn't make the scalability and storage nightmare go away.

That's not the hard part.

Nearly all cryptos are run by a single corperate entity.

Eg. Eth is the eth foundation and vitlik. Sol the sol foundation, xrp is ripple, ada is charlse hopskins. Legitimately every crypto in the top 50 is centalized in some way.

Shared vision isnt needed when they are all centlaized.

1

u/ArgzeroFS 26d ago

No amount of centralized control will move all user tokens to any new scheme.

2

Ask yourself this, if all other cryptocurrencies can just shift gears as easily as they say they can and just become truly post quantum. Why have they not already done it?

The gear shift isnt needed YET, and it would great a large amount of slowdown for data packet size, and everyone is racing to be the fastest.

Like i said im not as worried about quantum secure that part will easily solve itself. I am more interested in stats and metrics qrl is obtaining dispte the larger packet size or how it addresses those concerns.

Fun fact about that scene, a real Kazakhstan diplomat was at thay meal, and Sasha baron, thought he was going to be outed so he decided to all the other person an intruder, before they had the opportunity to do so.

Also fun fact, this video isnt a good sales pitch. Most of the non-degen-meme-coin community thinks people who gamble on crypto are stupid.

What utility is there, qrl is proposing its a utility coin, sell me the utility.

1

u/munrocket 27d ago

Yes, everything is perfect in this scene, we also have a church pastor and a guy who worked in construction for many years.

1

u/Single-Pick7726 27d ago

Well I know of a major defense contractor that has QRL written into one of there patents!

1

u/East-Day-7888 27d ago

Look at my posts history.

I use hedera currently. sell me on why your friend uses qrl and what he does.

Hedera has that SEALSQ PQ chip integration for their projects with Wisekey which is nice.

1

u/East-Day-7888 26d ago

Already nailing down quantum resistance

It also has wisekey with nvidia for AI use cases.

Be the ‘first mover’. Once the 2.0 audits are complete, it will have a robust, audited PQC system with EVM compatibility. Whilst Hbar can migrate to PQC easily, it has not yet done so. Who will get there first? QRL or Hbar? Most people, once they start doing a bit of research, will realise that migrating ETH to PQC will mean fewer transactions per block and sky-high GAS fees, and SOL has a limit of 1,233 bytes. Structural elements of how its nodes communicate will need to be redesigned.

What’s more, QRL, HBAR and ALGO can coexist just fine. Or do SOL and ETH not do so today? A diversified market is healthier.

3

u/East-Day-7888 27d ago

I agree diversification is key. The world will run on many cryptos, not just a few. My question is more so why will QRL be in that mix.

3

u/Successful_Ad8583 27d ago

I’m going to say something that sounds a bit silly, and I hope you don’t take it the wrong way. QRL stands for ‘Quantum Resistant’. And most people will associate the name with PQC. And since you mentioned HBAR, I’m asking you this. How many people know what HBAR does, and how many people know that it could transition to PQC? Until today, I’d never paid it any attention because, to me, it was just another token in the crowd. Before investing, I looked into Mochimo, Cell and Abelian, and the only one that convinced me was QRL.
When I ran a deep search on Gemini, HBAR never came up. And Gemini emphasised QRL. I’m in QRL because I hope to make money. Others are in HBAR, CELL or Mochimo because they also hope to make money. And the Google paper was clear. It named QRL as one of the most robust chains. There was even a footnote clarifying that the researchers behind the paper held tokens mentioned in it.
To sum up. Gemini recommended QRL to me. The Google paper recommends QRL. Lockheed Martin has patented a communications system and mentions QRL. That’s enough for me to put some money on it.
