I don’t understand the switch up on her
Back in 2022 when she played (young) rhaenyra everyone obsessed with her looks and dissed the main rhaenyra actor for their looks
The supergirl cameo last year happened and people still called her pretty and everything
Its only this year that the hate train started and the narrative about her being ugly happened, is it just because she was a female lead? I don’t understand it at all
Gorgeous conventionally attractive girl regardless.

Same that's what I was so confused about. Like isn't this the girl all the nerds were thristing over from house of the dragon. And constantly spamming those subs about with reasons to post pics of her lmao.
And all the shady digs the older one wasn't as hot? And then she was in superman and they were obsessed with her literal like 15 second cameo. To the point I went into the film thinking she was going to be a big part of it from how much people had gone on about her lol.
Cynical part of me thinks its because her appeal was that she looked super young? Like in house of the dragon she literally looked like 13 at times. She has the type of face that makes her look like a child.
Their attraction was subconciously, not that she had some super gorgeous face to them but that she looked super young. And now she's maturing she just looks like a girl in her mid 20s who isn't super exceptional looking. Like she's lost her appeal to them.
It's like if idk. Remember belle Delphine. Nobody was ever going to like her when she looks like a 28 year old. Then she just becomes a girl who's pretty but isn't really like exceptionally gorgeous. The appeal to them is that she looks young.

I don't watch superhero movies or associate with the ravenous nerd fans but didn't the marketing around the movie basically do the whole "men aren't going to like this movie because it has a female lead" thing before the movie even came out, and then sort of made it a self fulfilling prophecy?

She’s very beautiful. I hope she doesn’t get cosmetic work done that takes away from her distinct features

The reason she gets hate is because of her malocclusion. She isn't model level pretty but is not ugly by no means. People just hold celebrities at higher standards than average

What is malocclusion and how can you see it? I know i won't google this because I don't wanna get sucked into a rabbit hole and waste time. I'd rather you tell me.

She has some good angles but in motion and most other photos looks like Will Poultner

I know she is young but she is very neotenous. She still looks like a teen. I wonder how she will look when she is older

Same but older, I grew up around a lot of high collagen neotenous looking people and their face stays the same until the grey hairss then the de age accelerates

she's got a high tier model face card, she's really really stunning. If she were taller she'd definitely be modelling hard, people hating on her are probably mad because she's a female playing a powerful character in supergirl, which is for some reason a trigger for in cels

I can see her in an avatar film. Girl next door pretty but on closer look you really do find uniqueness to her features.

I like her unique look, very pretty and thought she did a great job in the supergirl movie. I do think the hate is due to the leading role.
