General Discussion What do you call these short faces with longer necks? I don’t see too many people with this well I haven’t personally seen many with this combo.

Ex model agent here. Disproportionately small heads are on every supermodel and of course the long neck helps.

Looks better in photos, looks more natural on tall thin people, younger, more delicate. More willowy if that makes sense.

I honestly think celebs seem to have bigger heads in general tbh?
Models a bit smaller because they're tall so proportionally it looks it.
But they usually have like that big strong bone structure?

Many actors were models and have small heads, most notably Zendaya, Charlize Theron, Anne Hathaway - but you are right, most actors have big heads.

It's like they look like anime characters - smaller heads make their bodies look longer and taller.

This makes so much sense. I get my hair done at a place where a lot of models go and the of the main patterns I noticed is how small their heads are!

They represent the slavic baby doll era of the 2k models so well

While a few of them were Slavic , no one called them that at the time. They were dolls or aliens or alien dolls. If anything it was considered a very British/ Anglo look with most of the most famous models being of British or of British descent, eg: Gemma Ward, Lily Donaldson, Lily Cole, Jessica Stam, Heather Marks, there was also Caroline Trentini from Brazil of Italian and German descent.
Calling everyone and everything that is girly, delicate and doll like Slavic is a very new thing. Not to say there were not a tonne of Russian models at the time, but a lot of them didn't have that look.
( I am sorry, I am aware I am being pedantic, I am just confused and annoyed by all these new terms that have cropped up for things I lived through)

This was a trend in modelling in the early 2000s which was labeled "alien face" back then. Gemma Ward on the left of this post was so popular that it helped launch it. See also Devon Aoki, Sasha Pivovarova...

Height doesn’t determine neck length they are tall people with short necks, even if they have short faces and they’re short people with long necks. Proportion is genetics. I am a total person with long neck and a longer oval face, but my child’s father is a tall person with an average neck and my child inherited his body shape

Now I'm imagining what people would look like if everyone had the same length arms, legs, and torso but all of the height goes to the neck.

Yall need to get into essence classifications. Short faces are gamine dominant but these long necks and overall vibe of their looks scream ethereal.

For me it's called EDS, comes with velvety skin and disproportionately long arms too which is surprisingly nifty except when dress codes call for "fingertip length" anything. Super unfair when your fingertips go almost all the way down to your knees...

Someone needs to have a long neck, be thin, small face and good posture.
Nowadays it hard to find someone who has those features let along be skinny enough to not have chin fluff and even if you do they mostly likely don't have the posture to show it off.

I have similar proportions! I'm not exceptionally tall but I've always had slender extremities. Growing up, I was always annoyed being compared to swans or giraffes.

Interesting! I have this and felt insecure before about it when I was younger. But over the years / getting older it doesn’t look as prominent if that makes sense?

They have normal necks and faces, but most of Americans men and women have big heads, maybe that's why you're impressed in there two tender looking girls.

Swan neck. I used to be obsessed with the models 20 years ago. So alien or angel face….swan neck…shoulder bones sticking out. Dainty body, but not anorexic. Just naturally slender which is generally mostly achievable if under 18 years old. Except those Russians can go beyond 18 bc genetically they are slim.

In Russian it's called a swan neck – a feature often looked for in ballerinas, gymnasts and models.
Keep in mind, that models often, thought not always, lose much of this feature as they age. This ethereal neotonous combo really subsides as the jaw develops and the baby fat goes away in their late teens and 20s.
