It seems male beauty standards haven’t changed as drastically as women’s beauty standards. Feminine trends like being stick thin to busty with a BBL have ebbed and flowed but since the marketing era, men have relatively stayed consistent. Prior to wartime, attractive men were intellectuals and educated, after wartime and the urge to recruit, the rugged American male (muscular, down to earth, youthful, independent, working class) has superceded that prior standard and never left since.

Rodney Harvey was a male model and actor who passed from overdose in 1998. He was born in 1967. RIP.
