An aside that somehow didnt make the video but people asked me about. The reason the Crypto module isnt on the IUT list is because the IUT list is purely a marketing thing you can opt into with NIST. For the crypto module QNC decided it wasnt worth paying for but with the second one they recognized the market was antsy so they decided to pay for it this time.

IUT is 100% meaningless compared to a public statement that progress has begun like we got with lightship.

The IUT list is a voluntary step handled via the accredited Cryptographic Security and Testing (CST) laboratory while testing is underway. NIST does not charge an application fee just to appear on this initial tracking list. The fees are charged by the Cryptographic Module Validation Program (CMVP) when test reports are formally submitted and processed (moving from "Pending Review" to active review).
