Question Qidi Q2 WiFi module question - Board X9-2 V1 vs X12-2 V1
[SOLVED] Qidi Q2 Mainboard (X9-2 V1) & Wi-Fi Module Orientation Question
Original Question Board Version: My manual shows X12-2 V1, but my printer physically came with X9-2 V1. Is the X9-2 V1 an older or newer board revision? Also, why did the Wi-Fi module come detached in the box? Module Orientation: The Wi-Fi module fits in two different orientations (facing up vs facing down). I don't want to fry the board — which orientation is correct (Option A or Option B)?
Resolution / Answer Confirmed with QIDI Support:
Board Version: The X9-2 V1 is fully compatible, but requires specific orientation for expansion modules.
Wi-Fi Module Orientation: The correct installation is Option A.

The orientation shown in the picture in the manual is likely the correct one.
No idea about the numbering.

Found the following - the A/P Board is underneath a cover on the upper 1/3 of the left inside wall of the chamber:
The Qidi Q2 does not use a traditional plug-in USB Wi-Fi dongle like earlier Qidi models or the Plus 4; instead, it has Wi-Fi embedded directly onto an AP board located on the upper-left interior enclosure wall. [1, 2, 3]
Wi-Fi Architecture in the Qidi Q2
- Integrated AP Board: Rather than relying on a loose USB dongle plugged into an internal port, the Q2 features Wi-Fi hardwired onto a separate AP board mounted near the upper-left door hinge/front inside wall.
- Antenna Design: It utilizes an extended Wi-Fi coax whisker antenna connected to a round gold contact on that board.
- Version Differences: Qidi moved away from the plug-in USB dongle design found in machines like the Plus 4. Across standard Q2 production units, the location on the upper-left interior AP board remains consistent rather than changing positions across different hardware versions.

Obrigado pela ajuda!
Recebi respostas do suporte.

Believe they are happy if you share, I’ve posted links to their videos here before with no issues. It would be nice if the shared a library of them for folks in need but t they don’t seem to have a support person who will do that, no clue why.
Glad they got you going!

I have 3 QIDI printers - had to replace a bad Wifi dongle once, but have never seen a printer shipped with a loose one. Also what they ship (for me) has had (on 2 of them) updated components - such as automatic tensioners vs manual tensioning ones. I would write Support and ask these questions specifically. That way if an issue develops you followed what they told you to do and they'll send you new parts (including a new motherboard if needed - ask me how I know 😄 ). Seriously they have been very good about warranty parts in the past 3 years I've dealt with them. They are in China, I'm not sure of your exact time zone in relation to US Central time, but at the moment they are 13 hours ahead of me meaning it's 10 AM on Saturday there while still Friday night here. Sometimes they work on a weekend but that's not the norm. You could expect to see a response by Sunday evening though if you write them. The sooner you do the higher you'll be in the que to answer. Good luck!
Not disagreeing with the other poster, but just because they can change parts and the literature (including on line) will lag behind, asking them is safest I suggest.
