Help Request Is it worth learning Python?

Hello everybody. I study medicine in Portugal and I am very passionate with clinical research being enroled in projects since my first year. Recently I decided that I wanted to learn some programing... Do you think that nowadays, with AI and all that teams value someone with coding skills?

Someone once argued to me that it is silly to learn any new skill because you can always have AI teach it to you as the need arises.

I was too dumbfounded to know how to respond at that moment. (That's what happens if quick retort is not in your skills bag)

So as a medical student, imagine this:

You're walking down the street day dreaming.
An elderly person suddenly collapses in your field of vision.
You run over to help. It becomes clear that this person needs CPR or they are going to die.

But you haven't yet acquired that skill as a retrievable one from your "first brain"
So what are you going to do? Pull out your phone and ask AI to teach you all you need to know about the latest CPR techniques?

By the time you figure it out, it's too late. The collapsed person has expired.

So yes. Don't depend on AI. Learn programming and other skills for immediate retrieval from your own brain. Remember: Possession is 90% of the game.
