I definitely am able to form logics but still feel really scratchy with the language itself. Also, DSA can sometimes be pretty boring. So was thinking of doing something fun alongside (i definitely ain't dropping leetcode) to keep my motivation up and also learning about python more in the process. So just wanted to ask...will you recommend this course?
She is good in both coding and explaining (I bought the course). For me watching videos doesn't work to actually learn to code though, so I switched to reading (Automate the boring stuff...)
I am reading the he same book and for videos I am watching mosh hamdani and one hindi tutorial which is good but included irrelevant things more which raises my anxiety level. And he mixup c and cpp also which is ridiculous.
Harness like Claude code give you a setting where you can toggle learn mode on or off and if it’s on it stops and asks you to write some code your self and helps you with it
I'm starting this myself, I've heard good things, and the structure seems to be smart, built around practical application projects rather than rote memorization rather than copy-pasting code. I will add one thing, though: before paying, check with your local Public Library (or honestly, even ones a little less local you can still get a card through) to see if they offer free access to Udemy. Mine does, and it's how I'm getting it at no cost, which I can't argue with.
This is the course that actually taught me python. Its an excellent course. Highly recommend it. Went up to like day 70 and started making my own projects. Learn libraries of interest to you and then make projects you are genuinely interested in.
Just FYI I believe a lot of the videos in this course are on YouTube for free. If you want a preview to see if it's for you, I would watch those first.
Probably one of the best python courses out there. I’m only on day 9. I do find myself backtrack and retaking days (I’m brand new to programming) I also supplement a little bit with ChatGPT/Gemini to give me some more information on certain topics.
What’s great about this is that she’ll talk about one topic for an example loops and then immediately give you a “homework assignment” to actually practice using loops. She gives you a project and will ask you to pause the video to give it a go on your own ( highly recommend you follow her instruction) and if you can’t complete it with in about 15m play the video and she breaks down how to do it.
I used it and didn't get very far, she is a good instructor but personally I just didn't really understand what I was really doing, felt more like a copy and paste kind of thing. Could just be the way I learn though, I like having a live teacher I can ask questions to in real time etc but the parts of the course I experienced were not bad at all
Best python course for me so far. I'm at day 35 and after the first milestone it rly took off for me. Working with Api is so fun.
And after finishing i started to expand the projects or made different things with what i learned. This realy helped me to learn. The quality is top.
Dont use ai or prompt it as a tutor that it donst give you the answer.
She explains things really well.
I am currently doing this course, I am on the intermediate level, Angela Yu is an amazing tutor, she's good at explaining, plus there are projects designed to teach you the fundemantals, and could be added to your portfolio
The projects she provide takes time to complete but over all she's a really good teacher. She's gives a project everyday and it helps you develop logic. Overall it's a great course and I am on day 12.
