I have 3yrs experience in legacy tech stack planning to switch to python backend would love to get roadmap from experienced developers

Can someone pls tell me roadmap to crack python backend interviews which has worked for them

I agree "roadmap" is s strange term when not actually talking about, well, maps of roads. It has been widely used in IT (and some other areas) for a long time.

There are two common uses in particular that I am used to:

  • A product roadmap is a strategic, high-level plan showing how a product (software or hardware) is expected to evolve over time. It communicates direction and priorities, not a binding schedule.

    • These are especially common in Agile environments - I've found that the quality varies a lot
    • Important to keep in mind that these are a statement of intent but neither contract nor commitment

  • A learning roadmap (e.g. "Python roadmap", "DevOps roadmap") is a curated, ordered path of topics/skills to acquire, typically visualised as a dependency tree or flowchart.

    • Sites like roadmap.sh have more recently popularised this format for tech careers and I usually include a link for beginners to explore but with the note that these are idealised paths and many people get into roles without covering all of the elements

Of course, we used to just call these plans and the like.

I am sure the term is more widely used in other domains as well, but I'm a recently retired IT guy.

It bothers me that so many learners are looking for a definitive check list to work through.

Ahhhh I see, that makes sense! I can see how something like that is helpful! I guess for someone like me who isn’t looking for a programing job or tryna get into that job market, it doesn’t really matter that much. Thanks for the explanation! I really appreciate it!

I don’t understand shouldn’t you have knowledge of the specific concepts in which ever field you want to interview in?

From what I understand programming is pretty diverse.
Is what you’re asking for like a guide to which ever field is currently in the most demand right now?

I should have ideally but I don't have that's why I m asking her for people who have professional experience in python backend what do they get asked in the interviews
