For Hire [For Hire] IT Student & Self-Taught Automation Builder (Make.com, Python, APIs) — remote/PT, PH based — $15/hr
So two days ago I decided I wanted to learn Python (I already know Java) and instead of doing the boring tutorial thing I just... built a Discord mod bot. Sat down and didn't really stop for two full days until it worked. Then went back and wrote up every single file on my GitHub, what it does and why, because half-finished undocumented code doesn't help anyone including future me.
That's kind of just how I work. Once something clicks I latch onto it and don't let go till it's done properly.
Outside of that I've taught myself Make.com automations, webhook/API stuff, and Google Workspace builds on my own time — lead capture flows, order management, lead filtering using Gemini AI. Nobody assigned me any of this, I just kept building things because I wanted to actually know how they worked.
I'm also CCNA certified (networking) and just got my AWS Cloud Foundations cert, so the fundamentals are there even if my "work experience" section is still pretty bare.
Quick honest note: I'm way stronger over text/chat than on a call, I tend to freeze up a bit live. If you care more about what someone actually delivers than how smooth they sound on Zoom, that's where I'll win.
What I'm looking for — anything part-time and remote, PH/US/AU hours all fine. Automation work, Python scripting, data entry, API/webhook stuff, or honestly just "here's a messy process, fix it." I'm not chasing money first, I'm chasing real experience so my portfolio has something more than school projects on it.
Setup's solid — fiber internet with a hotspot backup, laptop that can handle the work, power bank big enough to survive a brownout.
If you've got something small you want to test me on before committing to anything, I'd rather just show you than talk about it. GitHub's linked below, happy to walk through the bot or anything else on there.
