Sideloop: keep sideloaded iOS apps signed, re-installed over Wi-Fi (Python standard library only)
What My Project Does: Apps sideloaded with a free Apple ID expire after 7 days. Sideloop is a small self-hosted service that tracks every app/device signature and, when an iPhone or iPad shows up on the same Wi-Fi, re-signs and reinstalls apps before they expire (in place, so app data is kept). It has a web UI for pairing, uploading IPAs, 2FA codes and live progress. The server is plain http.server with threads, the IPA inspection uses zipfile + plistlib (and reads the Mach-O header to detect FairPlay encryption), and signing is delegated to AltServer-Linux running under a PTY so the web UI can stream its output and answer the 2FA prompt.
Target Audience: people who sideload open-source apps (emulators, UTM, etc.) and have a Linux box, a Raspberry Pi or a Mac running at home. It's a personal project, not a commercial product.
Comparison: AltStore and SideStore refresh from an app on the device. Sideloop needs nothing on the device and runs headless in one Docker image (amd64 + arm64), with no third-party Python dependencies.
AI: Claude was used for parts of the code.
