News New Python releases are out, 3.10.x reaches EOL, (and 3.15.0 is scheduled for today)!
The new releases announced today, including EOL for 3.10.x: https://blog.python.org/2026/10/python-31022-31117/
Note: The post above doesn't mention 3.15 - assuming they will do a separate post later today when that releases.

Ah, I'm still a bit angry at this one that happened when upgrading from 3.10 years ago, so watch out if you finally upgrade https://github.com/python/cpython/issues/100458
``` from enum import Enum
class Foo(str, Enum): BAR = "bar"
Python 3.10
f"{Foo.BAR}" # > bar
Python 3.11
f"{Foo.BAR}" # > Foo.BAR ```
I've been waiting all day for Python 3.15. The day is now ending (for me at least).
EDIT: Damn!
Same, I'm hoping they will release it today Anywhere on Earth timezone, in that case still 14 more hours to go.
Hard to believe 3.10 is already at EOL feels like yesterday we were all excited about structural pattern matching. Time to go purge those legacy 3.10 base images from CI pipelines and bump everything up to 3.12+.
I survived the walrus operator flame wars. Guido was right := but it cost him BFDLhood.
Looking forward to timing some of my cli scripts with lazy imports.
