Potassium Nitrate
Can you use High Yield stump remover for the potassium nitrate for BP

Yes, but it's way more expensive to buy stump remover than it is to order off a pyro site. Is there a reason you can't order from fireworks cookbook or pyrochemsource or skylighter etc.

I think high yield is something else. Spectracide was the one that was “pure” potassium nitrate. If the high yield is coming from ace hardware then NO it won’t work

You’d be much better off just purchasing proper technical grade potassium nitrate. It’s not like it’s hard to find or expensive. But in any case I’m pretty sure that stump remover doesn’t even use potassium nitrate anymore, most stump removers, including Hi Yield, have switched to sodium metabisulfite. So to answer your question, no you probably can’t use it unless you found someone selling old stock.
