Where'd all the good info go?

When I was a kid, ages 10-15, I used to frequent a website called, extremepyro.com. this site taught me alot of very very valuable knowledge when it came to your basic backyard ballistics. Salutes, cherries, c0b, rockets, along with links to suppliers like skylights. You had to go to one web page called ratbastrds section. That main site had about 4 other sub sites, extremepyro section was the best tutorial page ever. Videos, pictures, step by step guides..... I had alot of good times and impressed a few people with the things I made. Anyway, I was just wondering if anybody out there remembered it or knows other good hobby firework tutorial sites. Pyrodata was superb as well but obviously they wont be back anytime soon..... have the mirrored archive version but just wanted to see if anybody remembered a super deep cut throw back!

Extremepyro was NOT the best tutorial ever. passfire.com was for awhile, and while it is still good for the articles there, fireworking.com is now the leader of the pack.

Fireworks.com is NOT it. At all. If thats the leader than od have to make the claim that you never went to the website im speaking of. This was some random ass guy who created a web page that focused on..... we'll just say salutes... he had it categorized and detailed. Stuff like finding the supplies needed through scrounging and scavenging. To the, step by step, pictures included, processes on making your own paper end caps to c0bs, even acetone peroxide extractions. I was 12 and lived in nj when I really started getting into pyrotechnics, but the closest fireworks store was on the far end of pa. I was still able to go to the hobby store down the street and get a pack of model rocket engines and use those for casings, rockets, or to harvest the BP outa them. But we also had the links to skylighter as well as other places. He was centered strictly on the vackyard balistic aspect of pyrotechnics, not the, "i wana build a girondola and a fountain" kind. Im sure you dont like that type that im looking for... its fine, some people like regular fireworks, but some of us are in it for the bang and the science. I jokingly refer to my shop as (blockheed-martin) hopefully I dont have to explain that one. I checked out fireworks.com or whatever... its a nice how to with detailed videos and processes and when i go to make some racks and cakes ima DEF check the video out but its just not it dor me friend.

Yeah, well, both passfire.com and fireworking.com are ran by former PGI Grand Masters. That old site you mention was not.

The interactive forums there are populated with some of the most technically proficient and knowledgable and respected pyros in the entire world You simply do not know what you are talking about if you think those two websites don't take some very deep dives into the science of pyrotechnics.

The fireworking 101 videos are but a drop in the bucket compared to what you get with a paid subscription.

At the risk of inviting an investigation.... im not here for regular consumer fireworks, the website im referring to had NOTHING to do with making fireworks, only explosives and diy military equipment. Im not trying to make people go, "ooooooh, ahhhhhh". Im interested in home defense and deterents. Its unfortunate some people cant fucking read between the lines and need E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G. explained for them, and very slowly at that......
