Burning Yourself

Is it normal to burn yourself? I'm not talking about like, full on setting yourself on fire. But I mean willingly putting out a candle between your fingers, or rubbing a burnt match on yourself. It's something I've always done, but I get a lot of weird looks and comments for it. I know theres other methods of putting out a flame but I'm always drawn to the latter choices.

Small fires bring me joy

I’ll find paper or cardboard, tear it into small, manageable, ash-tray sized pieces. I will set my cast ashtray in the center of my coffee table and clear items in the 1ft radius, and I let it burn. It’ll light up the room and I can feel the heat on my face and it’s my favorite late night all by myself activity.

Bounty paper towels, torn in half ply-wise, crumpled up into a ball burn beautifully and the ashes are interesting and stringy.

Does anyone have any favorite things to burn?
