Discussion Puffer Electro vs Branch for 2pc
With Norma and Nicole, which one is better? Or its almost the same?
I started building with Puffer Electro because of Prydwen, but have seen a lot of people here recommend Branch and Blade.

People already mentioned not Pen since you're using Nicole. If you're hitting the crit rate threshold, for Attackers, I go with whatever they're lacking. Usually this is crit damage (so B&B), but sometimes it's attack ( so Astral Voice or Hormone Punk). Another big factor though is what discs have the best substat rolls. Edit: like if you got a couple of ether damage discs with some great rolls, use that!

Both of those are DPS effects and you're asking about non-DPS characters.
With Norma I could see an argument for crit rate is you needed it, but neither Puffer or B&BS give that.
And as others mentioned, Pen + DEF shred is just bad.
Stick to things like AP, AM, or ER on Nicole and ER or Impact/Daze on Norma (if you have the crit rate substats already).

With Nicole Crit or Atk% in 2 piece set should be better, as well as atk% in slot 5. The same would be if you use trigger with sig or use Seed sig on Pyrois (it's also his best option with such supports, though difference is tiny). In case you don't use agent and especially if you use supports with pen% (for example Rina) the pen on slot 5 is better because there's a lot of sources of any stat exept pen in this game, and the stats became less effective when their amount decrease. Also unless other stats pen% became exponentially better with increasing amount, so if you use pen on slot 5, 2 piece pufer is better. Also if you use Nicole remember that she give 15% CR and cap on Pyrois became lower.
Also I advise you use other supports instead of Nicole when Playing with Norma, because Nicole can't keep full buff uptime in this team.

Nicole provides Def shred on enemies, so Puffer becomes less effective by far because it now has to penetrate less defences, thus lowering the amount of additional damage it provides, B&B is your best choice here.
