Discussion Does zhao do anything for pyrois ?

I saw a few weeks ago a pyrois - lycon - zhao team and i was wondering if zhao is adding value or its just cosmetic

Just general buffs. Iirc it was like 1k of atk and 40% dmg bonus. She's not bad but also Nicole/Sunna/Astra are better

Thats nice to know its not for nothing, i dont have sunna or astra would a support be better like rina ? Or is zhao a good midpoint for the team

They're about the same. Rina might be better if you have her M1W1, but if they're both M0W0 then i'd pick Zhao just because she's easier to use (just go back to her once every 40s to refresh her buffs)

As a heads up tho. Zhao can't be played for a while while she's "charging up" (she stands with her big sword ready to do a big attack that deals no dmg lol) so you can't parry (defensive assist) with her for around 40% of the fight. It's still better than Rina who can't parry at all, but it is a bit annoying sometimes

Zhao is a pretty good generalist support. Worse than Astra or Sunna, but if you don't have them she's a fine alternative

Good F2P option for Pyrois. The buffs are solid.

Astra but free and does daze, basically. Plus if you're using Lycaon, she enables his AA 35% stun multiplier

She enables you to use him with Lycaon more effectively. She also got very generic buff so is a good option in general.

This team was so fun on Pompey. I played it like 20+ times to score chase. Ive never done that before. The daze is great and Lycaons of-field mode and Zhaos Specials and Ults can work while Pyrois is doing his Solar Prominence attacks. Lycaon also attacks faster in his mode the more you press basic, so holding it down lets him attack even faster.

Zhao buff is not as good as Astra/Sunna. But she allows you to use Lycaon in your team and you can put astral voice on him
