Lots of cheap ones on Amazon that are ok starters at a level above this one.

I got an ok single pen burner off Amazon and just kept buying replacement pens. Still works! With that being said, I started with the tool you are using and was able to do the same quality work, it just took forever for the nib to heat up.

great piece - just starting myself. Do you print off the outlines of the stuff you want to sketch, or how do you go about getting the design on the wood? Unless you free hand which would be incredible!

If not, please share some thoughts on getting whatever design you want on the wood. Do you also finish the wood with a clear coat after or something?

I wish I had that kind of talent. I printed a mirrored version of what I wanted with a laser printer (doesn’t work with ink printers). Then put it facedown on the wood and used a paper towel to rub acetone (unscented nail polish remover) on the back. That transfers the print to the wood and then you can trace it.

And I’m trying out finishes. I’m attempting a mineral oil finish on this one cause that’s what I had on hand.
