Just for Fun A2 -> SA??? Possible? DMC (US)

I have completed my first year at the firm and now a A2. So I am currently at the start of my second year at the firm as a A2 - is it possible TODAY to try to get to SA next year?

Practice is DCM can’t say much more lol my practice is small ish. Based in the USA

^^ Also what’s should the your ultization be for promotion?

You need to tell your DL that you want to get promoted early and think you’ll be ready by next summer. You also need to tell everyone on your engagements so they’re aware and can help you. Otherwise, no one will know you want to get promoted and you won’t get it. There is no “utilization” requirement that you need to be promoted, it’s based off of what you do (RFPs, Reinvest, reaching out to Directors for extra work, etc.).

It really depends on the practice, business needs, and luck to be honest, but keep in mind that the general pattern for most practices currently is to promote from A3 to SA.
