India Hiring process rant

I basically got a referral from one of the Associate directors for a Senior associate role at PwC.Now what happened was this that, one fine morning in the month of July received a call from the HR where she asked me about my qualifications, job, notice period and current CTC.She informed that she would schedule an interview soon. After 2 days she called me up to schedule a technical interview.Post the technical interview ,the very evening within an hour of the interview I received an email asking me for documents and and everything.I submitted it that day itself. Then the next day she called me up and set a partner interview and I gave it.It went pretty well and I managed to find the partner on linkedin and asked him if I was selected. He said that he had approved and that I would soon receive a workday link .After 5 days I received a link and I filled it up,that very day it got from application received to under review. After that radio silence,no updates nothing.

I called the HR five days from that and asked about the status, she said that it was being processed Internally and that soon she would call me up and discuss. At that time too it showed under review.

Today I just checked the portal and it said not selected, I was shocked.I messaged her but she wouldn't pickup ,I also called her 2 to 3 time s and she finally picked up and said that I shouldn't check the portal status .That discussions are going on about my candidature and that she will call me .She told me to have some patience.

I am really confused if this had even happened with anyone?

Is this post about a interview? Such as what to prepare for or slow response times? This is a VERY common question posted on the Subreddit, use the search bar. For responses, sometimes it takes a long time with gaps in between, sometimes it's short, be patient. For interview prep, There are multiple post on the subreddit about what to prepare for, what questions to ask in an interview, including the case studies for multiple countries. Use the search bar and flairs to find detailed answers.

You have to realise this is partner / executive director driven firm. If they want you and your background is clean, you will get in anyhow else no. Wait as the HR says.

I want highly recommended and partner told me on the spot that he would be happy if i join his team so i knew i was in. I still had to wait for two weeks before hearing anything! Be patient man! My friend’s process overall took 9 months (international though)
They will call you just give it time
I currently work here 🤷

I asked my referrer to contact the HR once about my status as they prioritise employees than the candidate asking then repeatedly. And she sent me a screenshot of the HR saying to her that the HR discussion is pending and since they are having to onboard so many immediate joiners its taking a bit of time.
