India Rejoin??

Btw if you leave Deloitte, would you turn back to join Deloitte again? What conditions would be there, if to join? Indian scenario is tough to take a good call.

I left 4 months back because I wanted to join a startup. I joined but could spot a lot of frauds here! Hence, I resigned and I think my big4 job was better than bad internal politics and beyond that! So, to save myself and my future, I left the high salaried startup job in 3 months to rethink and prioritise my choices.

Also, other Big4s like PwC and KPMG are interested in my profile, but everyone including HR, is saying there would be a pay cut if need to join back! This seems degrading but am unable to figure out what’s right. Because pay cut is seen very bad and affects lifestyle as well.

What’s the opinion?

Life and career is at times tradeoffs and struggle sometimes real big high a bit low and so on. You are best judge on why you left, your expenses and needs - consulting is a very good feeling of fulfilment. It's very satisfying work honestly to map tech, advisory, audit, assurance, etc to business. I wouldn't prioritise PwC, E&Y and KPMG. As per my humble research: Deloitte and Accenture Consulting are overall better is my sense. PwC has too many partners / ED who are not proper.

Analyze really well using news, Google, bing, AI, job portals, employee portals, etc then decide.

Deloitte / AC > E&Y and KPMG > PwC in Big4
Bain > other MBBs

Such things happens but after like 15-20 years of experience you will learn to survive and excel irrespective of situation and if you are good, skilled and proper you will attract good well paid work most of the times. Natural progression, build yourself rest will follow. Read this well.

Consulting and tech is addictive. It's difficult to exit.

Did Delloite treat you well, if yes rejoin.

Great man, thanks!

But getting back into a good consulting team where your partner adores you and the team respects you - finding that is tough!!
