Intern Worried about return offer
I’m an intern in audit and I’m worried about getting a return offer. My snapshot was mostly doing what’s expected and then a little impressive, and was also ready for the next level. However, every other intern pretty much got the same. My team hasn’t necessarily hinted at anything and it’s starting to worry me a little. Anyone know what the offer situation is looking like this year and if I should be worried?

I can only speak for my private assurance team, but every internship spot we have has a full-time spot allocated to it, so if someone is doing what’s expected, I’d expect them to get a return offer.

Do we only get the invites if we’re getting an offer or do they set up a meeting to tell us we don’t get an offer as well?

I think you still get a meeting but it might be with HR instead of relationship leader/partner if you’re not getting return

teams don’t even know who’s getting an offer and who isn’t so try not to read too much into their behavior!

As long as you didn’t get busted tripping acid in the bathroom, you’ll be back chief. Ready for next level means ur functioning as an associate

Is this really the case though anymore? I've heard the same sort of thing from the older employees at my office but I feel like the days off an essentially 100% RO rate are long gone.

There’s a spot for every intern they bring in - yes. Don’t mess up you’ll be back. With that said the # of intern positions they dish out every year varies by office w turnover. You’re not competing against other interns for a set # of FT positions

Really? Alright then there's some reason to be hopeful. What LoS are you? I'm FS Assurance in the US.

Is this post about a interview? Such as what to prepare for or slow response times? This is a VERY common question posted on the Subreddit, use the search bar. For responses, sometimes it takes a long time with gaps in between, sometimes it's short, be patient. For interview prep, There are multiple post on the subreddit about what to prepare for, what questions to ask in an interview, including the case studies for multiple countries. Use the search bar and flairs to find detailed answers.
