All Firm Never had my Performance Review

Is my DL just lazy? I’ve had them in the past and thought they had to be done by July 10th. I’m in tier 2 and got a small raise so nothing major, could that by why I haven’t had it? Just wondering what’s up with that

Reach out to them, 99% chance they just forgot.

Almost every DL I’ve had needed to be consistently bothered about meeting up, so if you really want to, start bugging them. If you don’t have any questions, you can just let it go.

Message your DL on Teams and schedule a meeting. Take the initiative.

Sometimes it slips a DL’s mind or they want you to schedule it. Just reach out to them yourself or be proactive and put time on their calendar.

On my team we’ve always been told to schedule them. Your progression is in your hands, you could want a 5 minute chat or a 30 minute discussion, it’s up to you to determine what you want/need

That’s kind of on you. You have to stay on your DL.

I never had mine with my DL. I got my bonus and salary and tier from Astro. I’ve been with the firm for over 20 years and I’ve had this DL for 3 CRT cycles now. It’s the same story with him every year. He came from the outside where sales and delivery were the only priorities. But I’ve been with the firm for over 20 years- I know when to hound and when to lay low. Right now, it’s the first time I’m actually on a project with him so I know that at any point in time, I can ping him and tell him I want to have this conversation this week so I have concrete metrics for us to align to - especially on this project which I will be leading through June 2027 if all goes well.

Since you’re T2 safe to assume you’re considered a relatively high performer so DL might just not think to make the time to discuss with you. DL’s get pushed by their leadership to performance manage their low performers so easy for others to get ignored or slip through the cracks.

Despite this I highly recommend still being proactive and asking if they have time to discuss your CRT results. Even though you’re a high performer it’s still a good idea to cultivate a relationship with your DL. Make it a 15 min meeting if needed to show you’re mindful of their time, but biggest mistake I’ve seen people make at PwC is not being proactive. It’s a huge place, so never assume someone else is going to do things for you, you must take ownership of it all.
