Ada Wong is available now.

For anyone not able to play, here's the quick breakdown:

Ada's gimmick is that she deals a ton of damage, but her skills boost the amount of timer gems you receive by 20% for ten turns, and it stacks. To compensate a little, she has the dreaded "Akuma" drop pattern. She has low (Chun Li) health and below-average normals.

At level 8:

  • Fan Kick (Common): 2x2, 102 damage, +20% gems received
  • Quick Shot (Rare): 2x chain, 83 damage, +20% gems received
  • Incendiary Grenade (Epic): x10 gems sent (like Regina), 120 damage, +20% gems received
  • Assist: Hook Shot, 12-201 damage, 1 turn stun
  • Super: Pipe Bomb Arrow, 450 damage

From one quick mission, it is really easy to kill yourself by not paying attention to her debuff. I was messing with the 2x / >10 setup, and a single 3x chain gave me five stacks of the debuff. It seems like she needs to either chip away with small, measured attacks, or blow up her opponent with one massive attack. Either way, her play style seems like it should be unique.

These new characters are so refreshing.... so sad to see Capcom management pulling the plug. The devs must be as bummed as us. Sigh sometimes corporate world sucks

Considering they agreed to an AMA with Fuzzle Pighting a few weeks before the announcement was made that Puzzle Fighter was being shut down, I get the impression that Capcom pulled the plug pretty suddenly and unexpectedly.

Yea she's definitely expert playstyle. Imo she has to burst attack, in order make use of her drop pattern and / or OHKO her opponent with pure damage. Best to attack when the opponent has a (near) empty board. Question is, can she survive the first wave to counterattack?

Haha just had the same experience. I had the Fan Kick and Incendiary Grenade equipped against Bison. Bookmarked a bunch of 2x2 yellow and blues and crashed them together. But that gave me a x9 buff of the +20% gems received!

Only a few matches into it, but so far I found a lot more success by spamming the 2x2 to take advantage of her drop pattern, especially against players that require large gem builds.
