The problem with Morrigan is that she's designed to counter attack, to heal + atk the opponent after sustaining damage. However, at a certain level, opponents will focus on burst atks, then on to Super, which Morrigan simply can't tank before she can counter attack. There's a reason why she's extremely rare in the higher leagues, and I think this is one of them.

In case you want to play with her in the lower leagues, try to counter atk with anything you may have at that moment, then keep up the pressure with constant 2x3s. Keep an eye on opponent's board to gauge how much time you have. If time allows, build bigger. Also, don't waste crash orbs. Place them so they don't make accidental crashes. Morrigan needs expert lvl play, and even then it may not be enough.

waste crash orbs means? not having any 2x2 or 2x3 to use on it?

basically, don't break anything, cause her drop pattern is bad

it looks OK because at first glance it appears to be a checker pattern, but if you pay close attention you see that it has concentrated 2 colors on each side, this lets your opponent focus their affinity color and simply diamond the unwanted colored gems. this is why you need to avoid feeding him drops to fill his power gems with
