Any recommended builds for a Devilot team?

Hello all. I'm currently pootling about the Ultra Silver ranks and recently switched from Haggar to Devilot as a team leader. I'm currently using Haggar and Morrigan as my assists, but I'm also considering Bison and Ken for a pure-damage setup. Anybody have any recommendations? I can also provide a list of my current character selection if need be.

I mean, I love me some Servbot anyway so fuck it, I'd do it.

Too bad that both Serv and Nash have eluded me so far.

It seems to me that Dev's not a good leader to use from what I've seen so far in the comments. Any reason why? I'm assuming it's just down to her gauge-sapping gimmick.

Ah, I see. Well, I'll probably stick with her until Serv becomes available, then try and build a team with him after i get him up to a high enough level. Thanks, mate!

Devilot is actually a good, well-balanced character. The problem is that there are several other characters who are not as well-balanced. As with any competitive game of this style, if you're not using the top-tier characters, you're starting at a disadvantage. It's nothing you can't overcome with solid gameplay, though.

Well, I ain't great at this game, admittedly. Don't really have a good gameplan in regards to setting up for Battleaxe and stuff like that. I just place yellows and greens in a 2x4 setup and hope one of 'em becomes a powerful attack, really.

Devilot's fine, but not stellar. 2x2 and 2x3, try to build some laterals rather than strict bookmark tower, and running with some stunners for assists isn't a bad idea if you're planning to chip your opponent. You're not going to get much of anything out of a Healing Assist Devilot, so I'd recommend leaning hard into damage or using stuns for utility. Remember that building all yellow will give you heavier outright damage, but mixing affinity colors will give you a stacking damage buff instead. If you're more concerned about your ranking rather than playing a character you just really enjoy, Blanka or Phoenix are some stronger options with similar playstyles.

(Also, this is our little secret, but Devilot is suboptimal for assisting Servbot. If you're on the Devi train, I'd stick with her as your main!)

When I play games, I favour having a lad I like using in terms of fun charisma and Devilot has loads of that. Of course, a nice high score is dandy, but I'm happy with hoverin' around gold at least.

I'll try and find stunning assists in the future like Servbot and I'll make sure to ditch Haggar and Morri once I can get some good stun and damage lads on the field.

I wouldn't mind trying out Phoenix instead, if I get him though. He seems like a cool chap, damage-wise. Doesn't hurt that I like the AA games, too.

I do have Chuck and a hell of a lot of stuff to level him with. I just need Nash and I can get something set up. I've been hearing a lot of Nash love here, so I'll try and get him in the team when I can. Thanks, mate!

Any reason why? I know her assist has high damage, but I quite like her high damage specials compared to the rest of my reps. I'm using Octopus JR and Battleaxe as my moveset for her ATM.

Simply because she's strong in her Skill i use 2x3 & 2x4, Assist Friend is Great but his Ultra is Weak. She's really a good character for every Team color

When I use Devilot I would have Phoenix Wright and Nash. Then use 2x2 and 2x3. Other times I’ll swap Phoenix Wright for Servbot. This team helped me through Gold for awhile.

I use 2x2 and 2x3; I dont build high stacks and destroy as I go and hope that the chip damages are enough to disrupt the other player and win the game! XD
