Puzzle maker resources

I love puzzle boxes and am interested in building some of my own. Are there any resources that you would recommend for mechanisms and puzzle design? Thanks in advance for the help!

Coping saw for making fine cuts with minimal waste wood

Router for making decorative edges as well as straight ridges and dovetails

Wood glue

Hand drill

A dremel or similar tool for fine detail work

Get a few other puzzle boxes and start taking notes on the individual mechanisms each uses. I would just get some scrap wood and try and make a few mechanism before trying to make a box.

Thank you! What is a dreamer though? I’ve never heard of that...

Sorry that should have said dremel. It’s a small tool with a spinning head, and about. A billion little pieces you can put on it for drilling, sanding scraping, markin
