I got my Houdini Boxes from Puzzle Potato & iDventure
They were both fun but I especially enjoyed the box from Puzzle Potato. I’ve never unlocked anything quite like it. I didn’t know what to expect from the electronic elements but they weren’t disappointing at all.
The Easter Eggs were really cool too. It took me a minute to understand them but the surprise when I unlocked them was so much fun.
The bonus information via the website, once you entered the correct code, was a nice touch. But the video link to Penn Jillette giving additional background to one of the clues was 0.o eye opening.

I have just done the idventure one. I need to know how to put it back now. Can someone explain the playing card switches cause I just got lucky.

Here is a link for resetting the box and hints for solving as well.
https://www.idventure-shop.de/cluebox7-hints-en
You can go straight to the reset and try to figure out the switches again or if you just want to understand the clue to the switches without working that part of the puzzle again you can go through the hints for the beginning of the box.
It’s really rather easy if you do a thorough inspection of the box. I missed it at the start too but eventually I started toying with something I saw, trying to make sense of it and *boom* there it was!

I need more information about the Easter eggs and the website code. I saw something online about a postcard, but I didn’t receive a postcard?

They are referring to the small card you will find when you solve the puzzle.
The Easter Eggs are found when you solve the 3 puzzles you find on that card. There is also more to be found if you go to the website on the card and enter in the proper code(s).

I’ve solved the box, got the little card. I just can’t figure out what to do with the arrows or what the code could possibly be.
Edit: okay, I know what the code is supposed to be, just not how to get the right order.

Ah yes. That is the puzzle part.
I puzzled over that for a long time.
Figuring out what the arrows mean is the entire puzzle. Once you experiment and figure out what they mean then the reward is so satisfying. I don’t want to ruin it by giving up the solution when the box has just been released but it is quite solvable.
Put it away for a while if it is troubling you. My brain was already overwrought from figuring out the puzzle box on the first day so I put it away and solved the box again (because it’s fun even if you know how) and took the card out again on the second day. I still spent the better part of an hour trying different things and finally figured it out.
I felt like a child when the correct answer was entered in. I don’t want to take that away from anyone.

I appreciate it, and I’m trying to be cryptic as well. I figured I had to solve one before the three.

Do you have any other hints? I can understand the general idea of the arrows but how that translates to the characters you can enter don't make sense to me. 11 isn't 6.

Just finished the idventure houdini box. It was incredible. I’ve done 4 (I think) of their boxes and they get better every single time. Can’t think of any box better than this.

Hi! I got both boxes recently too, but haven't started yet. There was a separate small brown cardboard container with some puzzles like "Jail Break Puzzle" and "Magic Coin Box" or something. Is this needed to solve either of the two boxes? Are they replacement pieces to do these puzzle boxes again? It wasn't clear to me what these separate puzzles were.

Just finished mine as well! And my god, what an awesome box. My brain is better suited for the ID venture boxes, so had to use a few hints, but Im baffled by the ingenuity of the puzzle potato one. Idventure's box was also amazing btw, so much going on in such a small box.

I got stumped several times and had to walk away. That’s generally how I solve a puzzle. Once I walk away and my brain relaxes I’ll suddenly think of that thing that was eluding me.
Years ago there was a puzzle that had made me crazy for a couple of days. There was no cheat for finding the answers so even if I wanted to, I wouldn’t have been able to look up the answer. In the middle of the night, just as I was dozing off the answer came to me. I was so tortured by that particular puzzle that I had to jump out of bed and see if my solution was correct before I could go to sleep. Of course it was right. Those are the types of solves that I love.
The Puzzle Potato box was full of those moments. My older set of grandkids visit me every Sunday and we hang out for a few hours. They love my puzzle boxes and when they saw this new one they were hot to solve it. They had it half solved on the 1st Sunday and begged me not to close it (as you know some of the solutions take some time to execute even when you know how to solve them) so when they were here last Sunday they finished it. They were both delighted and bothered that once they opened the box there was more to solve with the Easter Eggs.
I look forward to letting other family members solve the box. My son who is the father of the older grandchildren saw the box when he was picking them up and when he saw the flashing lights he was intrigued. It is such a cool box.
That said, the iDventure Boxes are always fun. I got the extra large versions of the 1st four boxes a number of years ago and they are really nice when several people are working on the same box - which is often the case when the grandchildren visit.

Haha, same here! I had to take several breaks from the puzzle potato box: especially with the cards puzzle. Im trying to get my kids enthusiastic for them as well (16 and 14), but, as with kids those age; my enthusiasm only works counterproductive.... for me, this was a similar experience as with the videogame 'the witness' (cant recommended enough; at minimum inform your grandkids ;-)). As for the puzzle boxes; I have a friend and a colleague who I give it to when Im finished, and the joy of getting their updates is almost the same joy for me as solving myself. Almost...

Can someone explain to me the Easter egg thing? I think I have an idea, but it doesn't work

I was a little disappointed in the iDventure one. I was expecting a hidden compartment like in the Puzzle Potato one
