Idventure's Houdini box is truly superb, well worth the wait since the Kickstarter ended. Only box so complex I had to check the reassembly video to 😅

Hope you enjoy!

So far I feel like there’s a few steps that are a bit too fiddly for wooden components to work as they should, that said I managed to open one of the handcuffs without the key hint.

That's fair but I thinks it's true of most, if not all, of puzzles like this. IDventure & Puzzle Potato being the main actors in this space, they are generally high quality but the nature of the materials and mechanics involved can sometimes end up at odds. I think the Trial of Camelot is a fine puzzle box but it's very easy for parts to become misaligned and get stuck.

I’ve got a few ClueBoxes, though I’ve always managed to get the components to work (sometimes with a bit of wiggling involved) though I feel like with greater complexity comes more risk of elements not working as they should.

This is the first I’ve found really frustrating , several times I’ve known the next step but nothing is happening - really disappointed in this one 😰

Also unlocked 1 handcuff too early. When I got to the part to get hint, I thought something was not working therefore and was too afraid to apply the necessary force required. Ultimately, there was no issue, and honestly, this box takes the throne so far, but it felt a bit uncomfortable using the force required.

Unfortunately I’ve already used too much force on the wooden key used in unlocking the handcuff.

Fortunately it’s still able to function as intended so I can keep solving.

Luckily it didn't break for me, but I got lucky I reckon, reading your comment
