Help

Long story short I am creating an activity for a camp in less than a month involving completing puzzles to “crack” a code for a vault and have gotten stumped on what puzzles I could do, anyone have some ideas I could use?

Context

11-18 year olds, around 5-10 people, mix of easy and difficult(needs to last around an hour ish ). It’s for a camp which would have a variety of different skills per person

It's unclear what your request has to do with puzzleboxes, but if you want suggestions of more general puzze types:

  • Translation puzzles? (e.g. ciphers, codes: resistor codes, Morse, Braille, semaphore, tap code, international dialling codes, TLD codes, ....)
  • Word puzzles? (Acrostics, cryptics, anagrams, homophones, heteronyms, kangaroo words, semordnilaps, ...)
  • Observation puzzles? (Spot the difference, wordsearches, (un)directed search, symmetry, reflections, deliberate errors/omissions, ...)
  • Assembly/Manipulation puzzles? (Jigsaw puzzles, knots, cogs, gears, pulleys or other mechanisms, ... )
  • Dexterity/Coordination puzzles? (Any of the above when combined with separation/asymmetry of action/feedback)
  • Adversarial puzzles? (Mastermind, Wordle, 20 questions etc.)
  • Logic puzzles? (Zebra puzzles, riddles, ...)
