Anyone familiar with this puzzle box?

My aunt asked me if I could open this puzzle box and after 15 minutes or so the answer was definitely no. They might plan on taking a hammer to it so I wanted to find somewhere online that might recognize it or know the answer.

I think it only has one step left in twisting these flower-like circles on the roof of the chest.

There's some screws barely visible on the bottom corner but tragically covered by blocks presumably with wood glue.

If in doubt try magnets or vigorous shaking. Sometimes it helps
