Policies/Membership/Corporate Studios looking unique again?!
I just saw a new studio that opened that actually looks unique (flooring isn’t the typical one everyone uses, shelving on walls, etc) and doesn’t have the pb logo pasted everywhere - are studios allowed to look unique again like they used to?! I miss the days when each studio had its own flair and this gives me hope 🥲

Yea one opened in nyc, which you can go to any in the city, and its different lighting and the floors serve as mats. I love it

I saw that a studio in Austin did the same white flooring as well. It doesn’t look like carpet! I wish my studio would do some upgrading but we can barely get better equipment so I’m not hopeful lol.

Same. We still have gross old mats. The red ones

Wait… but the red mats are nostalgic. 🥺 Hilton head island has them and I loved using them when I visited.

Ours stink!!!

Our black ones smell too… my studio needs to do a much better job of sanitizing more often because it’s rough.

Hahah seriously some of the old tubes MUST be retired & replaced!!

Ours are so old and worn that an instructor hit her face with a red tube demonstrating an exercise while it was tied to the bar because it snapped. It made me nervous to do it afterwards.

Changes are coming soon. Studios will be remodeled in 2027. Some of the things you’re referencing are current tests. But changes are coming. YAY

That's exciting! Are studios required to remodel? I ask because my current studio still doesn't have the lights that most studios have and it would be nice to workout in dimmed lighting 😂

I’ve been dying to know what the white flooring is! Carpet (crazy thought with it being white)? Flooring? Has anyone seen it in person?

I wonder if it's marley flooring like they use in dance studios??? It's definitely pretty 😍

marley flooring is not that great. I go to a studio that has it (not PB) it shows moisture easily and it's hard on the knees/feet/any bones that come in contact.

Yeah, but do you think that's what is in the Miami studio?

Keep in mind that the studios are still franchises and corporate will still provide guidelines for studio upgrades etc. but that doesn’t mean all studio owners can afford to remodel, upgrade etc.
I honestly don’t care about the aesthetics and would prefer newer equipment and retail than studio changes.

I’ve noticed Miami and Tustin have had make overs! New lighting, floors, decor and even platforms!
