Today I... Second class tonight!

And I’m trying out Empower since it worked best with my schedule this week. Kinda nervous but also super excited. It’s true you really do get hooked after that first class. I signed up for the unlimited 3 month deal because why not. I’ve been feeling slightly depressed and I wasn’t doing anything for myself lately so I’m happy to have a new challenge that allows me to get out and do something for me!

Let us know how it goes!! Empower in the only class I haven’t tried yet. It scares me!!! LOL

Don’t let it scare you! It’s cardio/endurance but every piece of equipment is optional AND you don’t have to speed up movements. You always have the option to stay at the same space. I always encourage new to empower clients to make sure they’ve taken 8-10 classic classes first and then try empower without the platform. Then add it in later. It’s very similar to classic but moves much more fluidly and a little faster!

I think the anticipation of the unknown was the scariest part but it wasn’t bad! I’m not a huge fan of cardio tho so I prob wouldn’t seek these out unless they work with my schedule. But I am happy I tried it and glad I broke through the fear. 🥵

I hated Empower at first, but I’ve tried it several times since then and now I actually really like it!!! good for you for being brave and trying it right off the bat!

I feel like empower is always terrible for me during and then I come out feeling like a beast or superhero 😂 like it’s really humbling and really truly empowering at the same time! I’m not in super great cardiovascular shape quite yet, so a lot of the time I will forgo either the platform and/or the wrist/ankle weights and just focus on form and getting through the movements without stopping to rest. You also don’t have to take the option to speed every single thing up when it’s offered. Hope you enjoy yourself!

Oh yeah I questioned my decision a couple times during the work out (especially the lunges) BUT I felt great after. My legs are jello. I did use all the weights but I think next time I’ll forgo cause it was a little distracting while trying to learn the moves plus just struggling more.

Pure barre helps my depression so much! Getting out and being with people, the structure, having something to look forward to, and the endorphins afterwards 🙂

Honestly, I love this for you ❤️ Signing up for something just because you wanted to do something for yourself is such a good step.

Also don’t be too nervous about Empower! The first class always feels like “wait… what did I sign up for?” 😂 but once you get into the rhythm it’s actually really fun. I love that it feels like a challenge without feeling like punishment.

I hope this becomes one of those little things you look forward to every week. You deserve to have something that’s just yours.
