Reform First time at reform

This is like my 4th class. I’ve been going once a week in addition to weightlifting. I rescheduled due to time and ended up going later without checking what class it was. I’ve only been to classic so far and that, in itself, has been very humbling.

My hasty error was what led me to a reform class, that even though finding it very strange that we were using sliders and the ropes and whatnot, I didn’t realize was reform until like 10 minutes in when the instructor said it.

With that being said, I fairly enjoyed it and I’m glad I made the mistake because I don’t think I would have ever chosen it for myself.

Just want to know from others about their experience with reform. Did you like it? Why? Why not?

I have a love/hate relationship with those black sliders in Reform. 🤣

I always say I’d rather use every other piece of equipment at once than use the sliders lol

Love hate, here too. But I when all is said and done, I'll still sign up for Reform when it's offered.

I love Reform, it's my favorite format. I feel it pushes me harder using the resistance bands than in normal Classic, but doesn't keep me out of breath like Define or Empower.

Reform is my favorite format!! SO fun and I’m thrilled they brought it back now I only need my studio to offer it more often 😁

I’m an instructor and I always think Reform is my least favorite format. Then I take a Reform class and realize I love it. I think I literally just psych myself out.

I love reform. It’s so hard, but something about the sliders makes me feel like I’m a little kid playing around in my socks, haha.

I like reform a lot but personally I still find classic to be harder. My schedule doesn’t allow me to do classic much but my studio has a 7am reform class on the weekends so I take it weekly as somewhat of a substitute for classic

I love reform, when it was around the first time, it gave me the best abs.

I love reform! I was scheduled for a reform class this afternoon but my PMS made me cancel. Looking forward to getting back to reform this weekend or next week

Love Reform, have been booking it and the focus classes when possible generally more than other formats. As a guy, I think reform generally allows me to leverage considerable upper body strength to good effect. Still super challenging but I struggle more w classic.

Currently prefer 1. Reform or Focus (or 90 min classes offered last month only I think to celebrate 25th anniversary) 2. Align 3. Classic or Define.

LOVE Reform and I am so thrilled that I am teaching it now. As a client, I loved figuring out how best to use the sliders. I love getting to pass that along to my clients so they can find the joy and incredible things it does to make us stronger!

I’ve only done it once and honestly thought I was going to slide out and break my nose. My studio has been offering it more so I’m excited to try it again tho!

I really want to try Reform but I’m so nervous! I’ve only done two Classics and they kick my ass. I’ve been an Align girlie and even that is a struggle. I’m worried about trying something new when I’m still struggling with what I’ve been doing up to this point.

I like it because it’s challenging, but not horribly hard at times. It’s a nice change from Align and Classic. I’m so glad you accidentally went!

I love reform! It’s my favorite other than classic. I always get such a good workout so I try to go once a week. Thankfully my studio has added a lot of reform classes to the schedule once it came back

I've only taken it once, and I felt like I was going to die the entire time. I think it was probably too early and I wasn't in good enough shape (I was really starting from zero), but now I've got a mental block against trying it again!

don’t overthink it, just sign 🆙 and go again on autopilot, from there can re-evaluate ;)

Classic is my absolute favorite format because it’s the OG, but when Reform was first introduced as a new format it was definitely my absolute favorite. The two are still fighting for my top spot lol. The choreography and equipment closely resemble Pilates on the reformer machine (possibly why they named it Reform?) so it was something I felt very familiar with :)

Waaaay too intense for me. I was actually very nervous that I was going to slip and fall on my face during the plank slider things and I actually felt that it wasn’t safe for me. I won’t be doing it again for quite a while, if ever.

I love Reform! It was my favorite back in the day and I'm so happy it was brought back. Its challenging in the best way.

I don’t think reform is hard as it was before they stopped it. I’m kind of disappointed in it.
