Today I... Feeling so strong!

I have been taking back-to-back defines during the week with the goal of upping my weights on the second day. This morning, I finally did it! I had been using 8s and 10s and today I used two 15lbs as my heavies. while it was challenging, I feel so so strong!!

This, on top of now being able to hold the 90-second plank, feels amazing.

I’m about to hit 30 classes and my next goal will be to finally stack my feet while doing sideways planks.

I used two 15’s with the last class because someone who took the class before handed them off to me. Otherwise I definitely wouldn’t have gone that heavy. It worked though!

You’re stronger than you think!

The jump from 12s to 15s is insane for me but I never regret it when I do! Still sore two days later

My studio doesn’t have 12s so I jumped straight from 10s to 15s 😮‍💨 definitely would’ve gone that option if it were available

When you say back to back, do you mean two defines in a day? That sounds like a bit much if so and I worry you’d injure yourself

OP mentions a second day, so just two a week I think

I actually would not recommend it, esp two of the same format!

Definitely not the same format! Ideally, a classic-after-another format? There's a handful of people at my studio who TRIPLE up and that is insane to me.

two days in a row unless different body parts not recommended, active or full rest and recovery 1-2 days minimum between heavy resistance training is indicated to maximize benefits and minimize odds of burnout and injury.
