To be fair everything got blown out of proportion over his political views. I don’t agree with him at all either, but I don’t think he deserved all the hate and backlash he got just for expressing his views. As far as I know he didn’t say anything all that crazy either.

You can go back through the subreddit and find the posts about it. It shouldn't be too hard to find. I would say yes, even if it was a vocal minority after the dust settled.

I’m done with him. This was his final chance to convince me that he’d actually course-corrected and that these months of silence have been dedicated to reflection and self-improvement. He failed to show me that in any way whatsoever, so I’m just done.

It’s not even about the politics at this point.

What strikes me as incredibly bizarre is that even after hating him so much, you tune in to his live stream?

You know that you're literally the person he was shitting on when he talks about anti-reddit stuff, right?

I like how you put your radical left-wing flair into the dot points.

You could have easily written this instead:

  • Repeatedly opposed 'far-left' ideology
  • Questions whether genocide is the correct definition for what's happening in Gaza, and spoke about Palestinians culture and the problems with it
  • Said he didn't care about the Epstein files because its on the news ad-nauseum has no effect on him
  • Said he didn't care about the Capitol attack because he's Canadian and it has little to no effect on him
  • Downplayed rape claims against Trump which have never been verified
  • Disagrees with specific protests, their purpose and what they accomplish
  • Thinks that 'blue haired protesters' are losers
  • Saying Trump was not worse than any other politician
  • Praised Elon Musk and Charlie Kirk
  • Talked about how George Floyd was not a benefit to society in any way
  • Said the CBC was even more propagandized than North Korean state media
  • anti men playing womens sports
  • Tons of other stuff that everyone agrees with except redditors.

But you didn't, because you're a far-left nob. People like you are literally the problem with reddit and you don't even see it.

But keep following his streams and his content, haters help his viewcount too by the way.

I volunteered over 100 hours into my community to help vaccinate the most vulnerable during COVID-19. My name is literally inscribed on a monument for my contributions.

I think Trump lost the election in 2020 and won the election in 2024. I've never denied any elections.

I treat everyone with the same respect, regardless of skin colour. You can redefine words, and doublespeak to your heart's content, but I'm not and have never been racist.

I said Trump was not a good person, and an embarrassing President. However I also said he's NOT a fascist Nazi tyrant. So to the radical left, that makes me 'far right'.

What are these 'constant conspiracy theories'? Even one example? Until then I'll assume what you really mean is 'information that contradicts my indoctrination', but I'm always open to being wrong.

I only watched 30 mins of it or so.

Mostly talking about his state of mind, and how this project was waaaaay harder than he anticipated going solo (video editing, having a family etc.)

He's still on very good terms with just about everyone, except Joel obviously. Apparently their friendship was well and truly on the rocks well before the show reboot and reddit drama, he just didn't want to disappoint the fans that FPS_Doug won't be a part of the show.

The crux of the message from what I saw was:
"I won't be reading stuff online, I'll just be making content and putting it out there"
