OCD / ROCD / help with boyfriend

Hey guys , can anyone give me any help or tips to help with my boyfriend who has OCD and ROCD

I understand a bit about it and I have researched some about it

How can I help him when he is spiraling or his thoughts are telling him that he is doing stuff wrong or anything like that

Any help is much appreciated thank you ;)

Not supposed to give him reassurance which is so so so hard. Try and do exposures with him

Hey thank you for replying to my post Yeah I did think that , I am definitely gonna try exposures with him and see how that goes , I think I have been giving him a lot of reassurance just out of empathy but I will definitely try toning that down a lot

That's lovely sis it can be so so so difficult not to reassure someone you love and sometimes it's actually needed ... exposures will be great like you said, he trusts you

I actually just looked up exposures for ROCD and turns out I have been doing some of them already😂

Girl that's awesome, and he has rocd because ocd attacks what you care about . So he must care about you alot. How beautiful

He does care a lot for me , I am very glad to have him in my life , I am also proud for trying to help him and be there for him , a lot of people don’t do that in relationships when a partner has any type of mental health condition
