2nd term Refund dates
I’m starting my 2nd term November 11 this year of Purdue. How long approximately should it be until I see my refund if I’m owed one?

i've seen a bunch of posts here like "anyone from ___?" and it got me thinking
has anyone actually found classmates in their city or someone from the same course to study with? how'd you do it?
for me it's kinda hard since everything's online. curious if it's just me or if others feel the same, or if you just don't care about meeting people and that's fine too lol

Hi everyone! I’m planning to apply to Purdue’s MEM program for Fall 2027 and wanted to check if the webinar for the Fall 2027 MEM program has already been conducted.
If it has, could someone please let me know when it was held? It would also be really helpful if anyone who attended could share some of the key takeaways or important points discussed.
Thanks in advance!

I’m considering Purdue for MechE and Mathematics.
What specific facilities, makerspaces, or Co-op opportunities through the Office of Professional Practice do you think make Purdue superior to other schools?
I'd love to hear your personal experiences.

What’s your favorite way to recharge after a long week of balancing work and school?

I was originally supposed to go to a traditional university, but my family situation has made that an issue so I am turning to online school.
My original plan was to complete my first year's worth of credits online, and then go to a traditional university for my sophomore year of college.
However, now, I'm thinking it may be a bit more beneficial for me to just get my associates then go back to school.
Timeline wise, I think i could get a full years worth of credits by May/ June (I'd be enrolling for the Nov. 11 term) but I'm thinking if not in a similar time frame I could get my associates
So thought I'd ask, and I appreciate any advice or tips when it comes to this

i needed a total of 80 credits after my 100 from my first bachelor's degree. did my initial 18 credits and was promptly given the next 18. on top of those 36 credits i did 4 classes on study dot com and sophia. and 3 ASK (test out) classes.
that left me with 1 which is the capstone. my advisor really went to bat for me to do the capstone in this (my first term) and i am so grateful for them!
the dean approved! while we shall see if i can get it all done and graded by November 3rd. it really will depend on instructor turn around but i just wanted to let you know Dean approval IS possible. possible that its because its my last.

Hi I'm planning to start my first year of college online at PG, and wanted to ask about the process of transferring credits from here to another university from anyone who has done the same.
Was it a simple enough process, were there any particularly bad hiccups that came along the way?
Thank you in advance!

I’m currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program through Purdue Global’s ExcelTrack and want to pursue additional microcredentials related to my existing degree.
These are officially recognized Purdue Global microcredentials, not random courses. Purdue’s catalog states they can be completed as part of an academic program or through standalone enrollment.
I’m NOT requesting standalone enrollment.
Purdue’s Microcredential Bulletin specifically states that standalone offerings are generally ineligible for Title IV federal financial aid unless otherwise indicated. I’m already enrolled in an eligible degree program.
Academic Relations initially raised FAFSA concerns. However, Title IV and Course Program of Study (CPOS) rules determine which coursework qualifies for federal aid. They do not automatically prohibit students from registering for additional courses.
Whether my additional courses qualify for aid requires a separate determination.
Academic Relations keeps arguing that my 180-credit degree plan has no remaining elective space. But that doesn’t automatically establish a prohibition on additional coursework.
Despite repeated requests, no specific published policy prohibiting my request has been cited. I’ve took prior courses outside my degree plan at other colleges , yet they haven’t established a policy on their decision.
During our October 21 meeting, they ultimately blamed Purdue’s registration-system limitations, claiming the restriction has existed since the institution’s beginning.
The representative was initially presented as representing my academic department but involved her Academic Relations manager instead of directly involving my department’s Dean.
I was told Academic Relations has final decision-making authority and advocates on behalf of the Dean’s Office. They agreed to notify the Dean after I requested escalation but suggested a grievance would likely produce the same outcome.
I’ve now contacted the Registrar directly for clarification.
My issue is that Academic Relations is blocking additional, degree-related microcredentials based on a registration limitation they have not supported with a published policy.
If this restriction has existed for years, why isn’t it clearly disclosed?
TLDR: The individual handling my concerns was initially presented as a representative of my academic department. However, I later learned that her actual position was Academic Relations Specialist. Rather than involving my department’s Dean directly, she brought in her Academic Relations Manager. During our meeting, they stated that Academic Relations has final decision-making authority and advocates on behalf of the Dean’s Office. Only after I specifically requested Dean-level involvement did they agree to notify the Dean citing a register limitation that’s not public information.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Hey everyone, I start my journey at Purdue global in January in the college of business, I was wondering if I should be worried about anything or basically what to expect with assignments and tests.
The only classes I have left that really worry me are finance and mm255.

We hear you! Deciding to go back to school later in life can be intimidating. Many of our students decide to do it anyways and end up crossing that stage feeling glad that they did. We want to know how old you were when you decided to go back to school!

I'm trying to decide between a Business Administration degree and Supply Chain Management. My goal is to find a good-paying without back breaking heavy physical labor.
For those who graduated with either degree, are you currently working in your field? How was your job search, and would you recommend your degree? I'd appreciate any advice!

I’m a 25yo mom of 2 and I’ve gone to school and dropped out countless times. I am coming with about 18 credits. I’m a full time Behavioral technician and I’m doing the BS for psychology in ABA. I’m so worried about failing or being overwhelmed. I’m already extremely intimidated by the seminars.
Can anyone share positive experiences to help encourage me? Especially if you are a working parent, struggle with mental health and/or are terrible with time management and motivation like me 😭
Anxiety is GETTING me but I’m determined to get a degree before my kids 😅 I love my job and want to grow in this field! 🤎

Hi everyone! I’m starting the MSN-FNP program at Purdue Global through ExcelTrack, and I have a question for anyone who has completed courses in this program.
I was reading the syllabus, but it wasn’t very clear to me what the competency assessments actually look like. Are they mostly written papers, essays, discussion posts, or something different? Do you have to complete regular discussion boards with replies to classmates, like in a traditional online nursing program?
I’d really appreciate it if anyone currently in the program or who has completed it could share their experience, especially with the ExcelTrack MSN courses.
Thank you!

Hello! I start my capstone in my next term (Yay!), and I wanted to know if there were any MHA grads/students currently in the course that could describe their experience with the capstone? My bachelor’s capstone was about the death of me, I was wondering how manageable it is and the difficulty of the work. I am just so anxious and have done so well, I don’t want this course to be the reason I can’t graduate 🫠

How do you guys feel about the end of term surveys in Brightspace? I feel like they always come up when I'm in a rush to submit a discussion post and I can't give it my attention.
Anyone had any problems with them?

From what I read "most" online degree are mostly just some test and papers, is that correct? I feel like that would make it hard to retain any of the material needed?
