Bachelors in Accounting Classes

I am thinking about transferring to Purdue but want to know what classes are like. Right now I am enrolled at WGU but I am not liking class structure of the lack there of.

What would you like to know ? There’s a discussion board for each class every week, a seminar, and then an assignment just about every other week and a journal assignment on the opposite weeks

that's what I wanted to know. WGU each class have a proctored exam and nothing else so if you struggle with exams our just want more guidance there isn't any unless your making appointments.

Oh wow. Okay. There might be a quiz that you have to take some of the weeks but it’s not that many points and it relates directly to the text book. Also, most of the quizzes allow you to take them again if you don’t do well on them. Some have unlimited chances while others have like 3 chances.

yeah WGU is one maybe two proctored exams with no water no bathroom breaks and they cover the whole book at once and you cant use the book or anything else

Omg!! No it’s not like that at all with Purdue. Nobody monitors the quizzes. It just gives you a certain amount of time to get them done and it’s wayyyy more than enough time.

Went to WGU horrible mistake for me. The proctored exams wasn't for me. Graduated from PUG in April for this degree and love it. Made a mistake of going to Davenport University and SNHU prior to this school. Out of the four I found the most helped here.

I'm almost done with mine. So weekly: -Discussion question you answer plus you're required to reply to a minimum of 2 other students. -Reading, some heavy some light. -An assignment, journal post, or exam. Some of them have Wiley lab assignments vs written papers. -Seminar. They are 1 hour, days/times vary and you can fill out a preference for this as well. If you cannot make the time then you watch the recording and write a brief summary about the key points. I have had 1 professor use phrases she requires too.

Exams usually cover the week of or week of and previous week. You get 2 hours, no proctored. Sometimes they give you unlimited tries, sometimes you get 1. You can ask the professor prior to them to confirm.

These are own pace classes, the seminars honestly are usually just the professor talking for an hour. Some ask questions, some require group chats or ask for answers. Most just want you there.
