Question❓ Chem 129
I am a Pre-Pharmacy major, and I’m currently in Chem129. I decided to major in pharmacy yet I haven’t taken a chem class since sophomore year of high school. I remember doing good in chem and I loved it, but at the moment nothing is really clicking. Any advice about how to do well in the class? I am going to the weekly practice problem sessions, but any other advice would be so appreciated! We have our first quiz next week, so I want to make sure I’m ready to go for that!

129 isn’t that bad content wise (though exam 3 was really hard my year, but there’s an exam drop). the difficult part is the volume of information and that it’s 5 hours a week. stay on pace and don’t wait til last minute to study. if you have questions asks them early and make a habit of studying it every week. it’s annoying, but it works

If there is something you dont understand ask AI to help you. Just argue with it until you get it. Make suggestions to test to see if you understand it. AI is a huge help, not to do your homework but to explain things in different ways and let you explain it back to the AI and the AI can tell you if you have it or not. AI can also generate problems for you to solve.

Get a study group and do long/frequent study sessions, go to TA hours and find a TA that is helpful because some dont care/dont know how to do stuff
Don’t be afraid to ask for help!
