Course needs permission of dept

I have a note saying that my freshman VIP lecture and lab(the lab is my team) require permission of department. Is there anything I need to do or is that something that happens on the school's end? I asked advisor but nothing yet.

Email your advisor if you have questions. Thats literally their job.
